When Microsoft announced its latest round of Xbox price bumps in June, it only gave US pricing. Now we know the pricing increases for the EU and UK, and they're dramatic. Depending on the model, Xbox prices are increasing by up to €200 or £170. The 1TB Xbox Series X with a disc drive is going up by over 30 percent from £499.99 / €599.99 to £669.99 / €799.99. The 512GB Xbox Series S is getting a price increase of over 43 percent, jumping from £299.99 / €349.99 to £429.99 / €499.99.

Creare una chiavetta USB avviabile è ormai un’operazione alla portata di qualsiasi utente e che si rivela necessaria quando si desidera installare un nuovo sistema operativo sul PC, si deve eseguire un’operazione di ripristino del dispositivo o si vuole testare un software in sicurezza. Tuttavia, ogni immagine ISO, che si tratti di Windows, Linux o altro programma, richiede in genere una chiavetta USB dedicata per il suo funzionamento.

Una soluzione più pratica arriva con le cosiddette chiavette USB multiboot, ovvero unità di memoria in grado di contenere più immagini ISO e che permettono all'utente di scegliere quale sistema operativo avviare all'accensione del computer. Tra i software che offrono tale possibilità spicca Ventoy, piattaforma open source che grazie ad un bootloader intuitivo consente di selezionare in modo semplice il programma desiderato.

CHIAVETTA USB MULTIBOOT IN POCHI PASSAGGI

La prima operazione da compiere è quella di recarsi sul sito ufficiale di Ventoy (link in Fonte) e scaricare il programma sul proprio PC in base al sistema operativo in uso. Sul computer verrà salvato un file .zip di pochi MB all’interno del quale sarà presente il file Ventoy2Disk.exe. Dopo averlo avviato, sarà necessario selezionare la chiavetta USB dalle risorse del PC affinché il software possa procedere creando le partizioni necessarie e installi il proprio bootloader sull’unità. L’operazione cancella tutti i dati presenti sulla chiavetta USB.
