I have a Seagate SMART 1 TB SSD, it comes with diagnoses software, but will only run on Windows, I use SSDReporter, but does not recognise it.
I think the drive is failing, is there a Mac programme (app) that I can instal to test it, many thanks.
Hi folks I hope I am posting this in the right category. I recenly fished out my old mid 2012 mac pro from the cupboard which I haven't used for a couple of years with the intention of upgrading it so I can use an OS which is newer than High Sierra by installing a metal graphics processor. I picked up a used Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX580 8GB which Apple recommend as a plug and play solution and should be capable of running Sequoia. I got it installed OK but obviously it wont connect to my 27"...
I got a bonus at work and decided to spend it on a new Mac. I got on the Amazon website, and since I didnβt see any new desktop Macs for sale, I bought a 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Ultra chip, 48G of Ram and 2 TB of storage (SSD) for $4,150.
It just arrived today, and Iβve connected it to a 32-inch monitor and an external keyboard and mouse, and here I sit, pretty impressed with the snappy performance compared to my ancient Mac Pro and iMacs.
I clicked allow and don't allow nothing happens and I can't get rid of it. Maybe a restart will do the trick? First time I've ever seen this I recently turned on Apple Intelligence if that has anything to do with it. I have a Mac mini with Tahoe.
Edit: it went away as soon as I posted this. I hope it was legit? I did not allow it to be on the safe side..
