2 August 2026 at 08:00

As Pokémon Go celebrates its 10th anniversary, its devoted players explain how the game has created a vibrant intergenerational community spanning the globe

Mathematician Offers New Solution to a Fundamental Cosmic Paradox

Gravity Theory WormholeNew research examines how gravity can be reconciled with thermodynamics through the Gravity from Entropy theory. Galaxies, stars, planets, and life emerged as the Universe expanded and became more complex. Yet the second law of thermodynamics says that the total entropy of an isolated system should rise over time, creating a fundamental question: how can [...]

22 June 2026 at 17:47
Highly Distorted Red Galaxy MRG M0138Researchers have identified the most distant dormant black hole known, dating back to the universe’s early history. Astronomers have long relied on brilliant quasars, supermassive black holes actively feeding on surrounding matter, to study the early universe. Yet these luminous objects reveal only part of the story. Now, researchers have detected the most distant dormant [...]

A Surprising Discovery Challenges What Scientists Thought DNA Methylation Was For

DNA Genetics Breakthrough ConceptDNA carries the instructions for life, but additional molecular systems help determine how those instructions are used. New research in a sea anemone reveals an unexpected role for one of these systems. DNA is often described as the blueprint of life, but a blueprint is only useful if someone knows how to read it. Across [...]
