How I Improve PC Gaming Performance with Smart Game Booster

14 September 2026 at 17:18
Improve PC Gaming

I have always wanted my PC games to run as smoothly as possible. Whether I am playing a shooter exploring an open-world adventure or enjoying a multiplayer match with friends I notice the difference when my computer is struggling. A game that should feel responsive can become frustrating when frames drop background applications consume resources or my system takes longer than expected to respond.

Over time I have realized that improving gaming performance is not always about replacing my PC. Sometimes I can get an experience by organizing my system, checking what is running in the background and making sure my games are using the available resources properly. This is where I see value in Smart Game Booster.

The application is designed to help optimize PC gaming performance while also providing network-related features. Its official website highlights FPS boosting, ping reduction, driver updates, temperature monitoring and other tools intended to make gaming more convenient. For me the appeal is having these functions available in one place of managing everything separately.

The Problems I Try to Solve Before Gaming

When a game does not run well I first try to identify the actual problem. A slow or inconsistent gaming experience can have causes and I do not want to change settings randomly.

For example if my game feels choppy I look at my FPS and graphics settings. If my actions seem delayed in a match I pay more attention to ping and network stability. If my entire computer feels slow I check whether other applications are using many resources.

This distinction matters because FPS and ping are not the thing. FPS describes how smoothly my computer renders the game while ping measures the delay between my PC and the game server. Improving one does not automatically fix the other.

Smart Game Booster is useful to me because it brings performance and network optimization into the gaming workflow. I can use its tools to investigate different causes of lag instead of assuming that every problem comes from my internet connection.

What I Like About Its Core Features

The main feature I look for is the ability to optimize my gaming environment before launching a game. Smart Game Booster is designed to help improve FPS and reduce lag by working with system resources and network performance.

According to the product page the software includes an FPS booster, network acceleration, driver updates and temperature monitoring. It also offers gaming tools, such as game recording and an in-game FPS monitor. Smart Game Booster features

I find the driver updater useful because outdated drivers can sometimes contribute to performance problems. Keeping my graphics and other device drivers up to date is part of maintaining a gaming PC and having a tool that helps me check them can save time.

The temperature monitor is another feature I appreciate. When I am playing a game I want to know whether my hardware is operating normally. Monitoring CPU and GPU temperatures gives me information when I am trying to understand why performance may be changing.

The FPS monitor is also practical because I can see my frame rate while playing. Of relying only on how the game feels I can use the information to compare different settings and decide whether a change has actually helped.

My Three-Steps Download Process

I prefer downloading software from its website so I know I am getting the intended application. Smart Game Booster provides a download process for Windows users.

1. Download and Install

Improve PC Gaming

Visit the official Smart Game Booster website and click the free download button. Once the installer finishes downloading, open it and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation — it takes less than two minutes.

2. Launch and Select Your Game

Improve PC Gaming

After installation, open Smart Game Booster and choose the game you want to optimize from the library. If your game isn’t listed automatically, follow the prompts to add it manually.

3. Optimize Your PC

Improve PC Gaming

optimization options you want — such as System Clean, System Tweak, Driver Update, and Game Defrag. Then click the Scan button to let Smart Game Booster analyze your system and apply the recommended optimizations for better performance.

How I Prepare My PC Before Launching a Game

I have found that a little preparation can make my gaming sessions more enjoyable. Before starting a game I close applications that I do not need. This is especially helpful when I have browser tabs, downloads or other programs running in the background.

I also check whether my drivers need updating. If I have not updated them for a while I use the driver update feature to see whether anything requires attention.

Another thing I do is check my system temperature. If my PC is getting unusually hot I do not simply assume that a game booster will solve the problem. I look at airflow, dust and other possible causes. Software can help me monitor performance. It cannot replace proper hardware maintenance.

Once I have prepared my system I select my game in Smart Game Booster. Start the optimization process. I then launch the game. Pay attention to whether the experience feels more consistent.

How I Use It for Types of Games

I do not use the settings for every game. A competitive multiplayer game may make me more concerned about ping and responsiveness while a single-player game may make me focus more on FPS stability and graphics quality.

For example when I play a shooter I want my actions to register quickly and my connection to remain stable. In that situation I pay attention to the network-related features and my ping.

When I play a graphics- game I am more interested in how smoothly my PC renders the game. I use the FPS  Booster monitor to check whether my frame rate is stable and whether my graphics settings are appropriate for my hardware.

This is one reason I like having tools in one application. I can approach gaming problems without needing to install a separate program for every task.

What I Expect from the Software

I do not expect Smart Game Booster to turn every PC into a high-end gaming machine. My results will still depend on my hardware, internet connection, game settings and the condition of my system.

However I do expect it to make the optimization process easier. If I can use one application to check drivers, monitor temperatures, view FPS and work on network performance I can spend time searching for solutions and more time actually playing.

I also think it is important to compare results rather than assume that every change is an improvement. If I adjust something I want to see whether my game actually feels smoother or whether my FPS becomes more consistent. That helps me make decisions about my setup.

My Final Thoughts

For me improving PC gaming performance is about making the most of the system I already have. I want my games to run smoothly, my connection to remain responsive and my computer to stay in condition while I play.

Smart Game Booster brings together useful gaming tools, including FPS optimization, network acceleration, driver updates and temperature monitoring. Its three-step download process also makes it easy to get started.

If I were looking for a way to organize my gaming performance I would consider Smart Game Booster as part of my setup. I would download it from the website, select my game and test the available features to see how they work with my PC.

For players who want to explore a combined approach to FPS and network optimization, Smart Game Booster FPS Booster is worth checking out.

The HP HyperX OMEN MAX 16 combines an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, Core Ultra 9 processor, 32GB of RAM, and a 240Hz 1600p display in a powerful desktop replacement.

I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s I knew the pain of a computer modem connecting to the internet back then. My first computer was an HP Pavilion and that little gray box was my gateway to a bigger world than my small town. I learned about design and “music downloading” on that machine. It was my first computer and it started my journey into the world of technology.

This review is from the perspective of a Mac user who enjoys gaming on a PC. I don’t live in the world of PC hardware but I do enjoy it and I wanted to share my experience with the HP HyperX OMEN MAX 16 with you.

My first computer was an HP Pavilion. That little gray box was my introduction to the world of technology, and I spent countless hours exploring what it could do. I learned about design, discovered the joys of “music downloading,” and started developing an interest in technology that has stuck with me ever since. Looking back, that first HP computer really was the beginning of my journey into the world of technology.

A few years ago, I found myself getting pulled into gaming again with Call of Duty: Mobile. Playing that title really made me enjoy competitive multiplayer games again, and I began looking at other gaming options. I eventually added a high-end gaming PC to my setup and started investigating gaming laptops that could provide a similar experience without giving up the performance I wanted.

That brings me to the HP HyperX OMEN MAX 16. With its high-end Intel processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, 32GB of RAM, and 240Hz display, this is about as far removed from that little gray HP Pavilion as you can get. I was curious to see what HP could deliver in a gaming laptop with this much hardware packed into it.

Pricing & Availability

The MSRP for the HyperX OMEN MAX 16 is $4,699.99 but at the time of publishing it is being offered for $3,899.99 from hp.com or $4,399.00 on Amazon.

User Experience

My initial experience with the HP OMEN MAX 16 was very positive, particularly when it came to performance and responsiveness. However, there is one thing that became immediately apparent when I started handling the laptop: this is a very large and very heavy machine.

HP lists the OMEN MAX 16 at 6.56 pounds, and you can definitely feel that weight when carrying it. The laptop is also quite chunky compared with more conventional 16-inch laptops. This isn’t a machine that I would casually toss into a bag and carry around all day.

That said, the size makes considerably more sense when you consider what HP is trying to accomplish. The OMEN MAX 16 is essentially designed to serve as a desktop replacement for gaming. Rather than having to build a traditional gaming desktop, monitor, keyboard, and other peripherals, you can have a complete high-performance gaming system contained in a single device.

That portability is still useful, particularly if you need to take your gaming system with you when traveling. You get the computer, display, keyboard, speakers, and other essential components in one package. However, “portable” is probably a better description than “easy to carry.”

HP HyperX OMEN MAX 16 Laptop

The power adapter adds to that consideration. It is also quite large, which isn’t surprising given the amount of power required by the OMEN MAX 16’s high-end hardware. When you’re packing the laptop for a trip, you’re not just accounting for a 6.56-pound computer. You also need to find room for a substantial power adapter.

For me, this is one of the most important things potential buyers should consider. If you’re looking for a laptop that you can easily carry between meetings, classes, coffee shops, or other locations throughout the day, the OMEN MAX 16 is probably not the ideal choice. If you’re looking for a desktop gaming replacement that can be moved when necessary, its size and weight are much easier to justify.

Setting up the laptop as a new Windows 11 PC was relatively straightforward. It took approximately one minute to reach the Windows update process, followed by about 11 minutes of updates and another 17 minutes and 37 seconds to finalize and complete those updates. Once setup was finished, I allowed approximately seven additional minutes for further updates.

I skipped Microsoft’s optional personalization, phone integration, and phone photo backup features and declined the Microsoft 365 and cloud storage offers. This gave me a relatively clean starting point for testing the laptop.

The OMEN MAX 16 remained quiet during basic productivity work, with the fans generally staying off. The fans became audible during intensive benchmarking, multitasking, and gaming, although I didn’t find them particularly loud. The rear of the laptop did become noticeably warm after extended benchmark testing.

HP HyperX OMEN MAX 16 Laptop

The keyboard was responsive, and I had no issues with key recognition during normal typing. However, the compact layout took some adjustment. HP has fit a full-size keyboard into the 16-inch chassis, leaving relatively little space between some of the keys. I frequently found myself reaching for Backspace and accidentally pressing Num Lock instead. The trackpad is also positioned slightly off-center because of the keyboard layout.

The RGB lighting is one of my favorite design elements. The keyboard backlighting looks excellent, and the illuminated strip underneath the laptop adds another nice gaming-oriented touch.

The 16-inch 2500 x 1600 display also made a good first impression. I confirmed its 240Hz maximum refresh rate using the UFO Test, which reported four pixels per frame at 960 pixels per second. The high refresh rate makes movement and scrolling feel very smooth, while the high resolution provides plenty of detail for everyday work and entertainment.

The speakers were another pleasant surprise. I tested them with a Dolby Atmos sound test and 32-bit high-resolution music. Audio was clear, well balanced, and surprisingly loud. Even at approximately 50% volume, the speakers produced plenty of sound, with music, voices, and sound effects all remaining well balanced.

Finally, I tested out the built-in 1080p webcam. It performed adequately for video calls, while the microphone was better than average for a laptop. Both should be perfectly suitable for regular video conferencing.

Benchmark Performance

Benchmarking a laptop like the HP OMEN MAX 16 is a little different from testing a typical productivity machine. This is a system built around high-end hardware, so I wanted to see how the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, 32GB of RAM, and 2TB SSD performed when put through a variety of workloads.

I used Geekbench 7 for general CPU and GPU performance, Geekbench AI for machine learning workloads, Cinebench to put the processor through a rendering workload, FurMark to stress the graphics hardware, and CrystalDiskMark to evaluate the SSD. The results were generally what I would expect from a laptop with this level of hardware, although they also highlighted just how much heat and power this system can generate when it’s pushed.

Geekbench 7

Geekbench 7 provides a useful look at both single-core and multi-core CPU performance, along with GPU compute performance. I find this combination particularly useful because it gives us an idea of how the laptop should handle everything from everyday applications to workloads that can take advantage of multiple CPU cores or the dedicated graphics processor.

The OMEN MAX 16 produced the following scores:

  • Single-Core: 2,709
  • Multi-Core: 18,921
  • OpenCL: 191,623

The single-core score of 2,709 is a strong result and reflects the performance available from Intel’s Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus. For everyday tasks, this means there is plenty of processing power available for things like launching applications, browsing the web, working with documents, and switching between applications.

The multi-core score is where the OMEN MAX 16 really starts to show what it was built for. Its score of 18,921 demonstrates that the processor has plenty of muscle for workloads that can use multiple cores at the same time. Video encoding, rendering, compiling software, and heavy multitasking are all areas where this kind of performance can be useful.

HP HyperX OMEN MAX 16 Laptop

The OpenCL score of 191,623 is on another level compared with the integrated graphics found in most laptops. The RTX 5090 Laptop GPU is a dedicated graphics processor with 24GB of VRAM, and that makes a substantial difference when applications can take advantage of the GPU.

This isn’t a laptop where the graphics processor is simply there to handle the display and occasional light GPU workloads. There is enough graphics horsepower here for demanding creative applications, 3D workloads, GPU acceleration, and gaming. I’ll take a closer look at gaming performance later in the review.

Geekbench AI

I also ran Geekbench AI to see how the OMEN MAX 16 handled workloads specifically designed around artificial intelligence and machine learning. This is an increasingly relevant area for modern PCs, particularly systems equipped with processors and GPUs designed to accelerate AI workloads.

The results were:

  • Single Precision: 3,814
  • Half Precision: 1,607
  • Quantized: 7,016

The quantized result was the strongest of the three. Quantized workloads use lower-precision numerical formats, which can reduce the amount of data that needs to be processed and can be particularly useful for certain AI inference workloads.

These numbers are interesting, but I wouldn’t use Geekbench AI alone to determine how well the OMEN MAX 16 will perform with a particular AI application. AI performance can vary significantly depending on the software, framework, precision being used, and whether the workload is running on the CPU, GPU, or another accelerator.

HP HyperX OMEN MAX 16 Laptop

What is more important here is the hardware available to the system. The Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus provides substantial CPU performance, while the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU has 24GB of dedicated VRAM. That combination gives the OMEN MAX 16 considerably more flexibility for local AI applications and other memory-intensive workloads than a typical laptop.

For someone experimenting with local AI tools, using AI-assisted applications, or working with workloads that can take advantage of NVIDIA GPU acceleration, there is a lot of hardware available here. The 24GB of VRAM is particularly noteworthy because memory capacity can become a limitation with larger AI models and other demanding GPU workloads.

Cinebench

Cinebench gives us another way to evaluate the processor by putting it through a rendering workload. I ran both the single-thread and multi-thread tests to see how the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus handled workloads using one core versus multiple cores.

The results were:

  • Single Thread: 570
  • Multi Thread: 5,695

The single-thread score of 570 is consistent with the strong single-core performance seen in Geekbench 7. Applications that aren’t designed to spread work across many processor cores should still have plenty of CPU performance available.

The multi-thread score of 5,695 is more representative of what this processor can do when it’s allowed to use its available resources. Rendering, video production, compiling, and other heavily threaded workloads can put considerable demand on a CPU, and the OMEN MAX 16 handled the Cinebench workload with the kind of performance I would expect from a high-end gaming laptop.

There was a noticeable difference in how the laptop behaved during these heavier tests, though. As I mentioned, the fans kicked on when the system was under significant load, and the back of the laptop became particularly warm. That’s an important part of the experience with a system like this because the hardware is capable of generating considerably more heat when it is being pushed than it does during normal productivity use.

HP HyperX OMEN MAX 16 Laptop

FurMark

Since the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU is one of the biggest reasons to buy the OMEN MAX 16, I wanted to put the graphics hardware through a dedicated stress test as well. FurMark is designed to place a heavy load on the GPU, making it useful for seeing how the system responds when the graphics hardware is pushed hard.

Here are the results:

  • 1920 x 1080: 13,453 points
  • 2560 x 1440: 10,055 points

As expected, the score decreased when moving to the higher resolution because the GPU has substantially more pixels to process. Even so, the results demonstrate the amount of graphics performance available from the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU.

The 24GB of dedicated VRAM is also worth mentioning. That’s an unusually large amount of graphics memory for a laptop and gives the OMEN MAX 16 plenty of room for high-resolution gaming and demanding GPU-accelerated applications.

FurMark also reinforced what I noticed during the CPU benchmarks. The cooling system becomes much more active under heavy workloads, and the rear portion of the laptop gets quite warm. I didn’t take actual temperature measurements during testing, so I don’t want to assign a specific temperature to it, but the heat was definitely noticeable.

HP HyperX OMEN MAX 16 Laptop

CrystalDiskMark

The 2TB SK hynix PCB01 SSD was another component I wanted to test. Storage speed isn’t necessarily as exciting as CPU or GPU performance, but it has a noticeable effect on things like application launches, file transfers, game loading, and working with large files.

CrystalDiskMark produced the following results:

TestReadWrite
SEQ 1MiB Q8T112,255.08 MB/s12,131.65 MB/s
SEQ 1MiB Q1T15,547.83 MB/s2,326.02 MB/s
RND 4KiB Q32T1615.48 MB/s745.66 MB/s
RND 4KiB Q1T179.72 MB/s140.66 MB/s

The sequential Q8T1 results were particularly impressive, with read and write speeds both exceeding 12,000 MB/s in that particular test. The Q1T1 results were lower, especially on the write side, which is a good reminder that SSD performance can vary significantly depending on the type of workload being measured.

In everyday use, the important thing is that this is a very fast SSD. Windows feels responsive, applications launch quickly, and the system is well equipped to handle large files and other storage-intensive tasks. With 2TB of capacity, there’s also a reasonable amount of space for applications, games, and media without immediately having to add additional storage.

What Do the Results Tell Us?

The benchmark results reinforce what I noticed from the moment I started using the OMEN MAX 16. This is a laptop that has been built around performance first.

The Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus provides excellent CPU performance, while the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU is capable of handling workloads that would be completely out of reach for the integrated graphics found in most mainstream laptops. Add 32GB of DDR5 memory and a very fast 2TB SSD, and there isn’t much about the hardware configuration that feels compromised.

The results also help explain why the OMEN MAX 16 is such a large and heavy laptop. All of this hardware needs power and cooling. That’s the tradeoff with this particular design. The benchmarks show that the OMEN MAX 16 has the performance to justify that size. Whether that tradeoff makes sense for you will depend largely on how you plan to use it.

Gaming Performance

Of course, a gaming laptop can have impressive benchmark numbers, but what really matters is how it performs when you’re actually playing games. With the OMEN MAX 16, I spent time playing several different titles to get a better feel for how well its hardware translates into real-world gaming performance.

I tested Gears of War, Call of Duty, and The Finals, giving me a good mix of AAA games, competitive multiplayer, and graphics-intensive titles. I played the games on the OMEN MAX 16’s native 2560 x 1600 resolution and focused on how the system handled gameplay, graphics quality, frame rates, and overall responsiveness. The only thing I added was a gaming mouse rather than using the trackpad.

HP HyperX OMEN MAX 16 Laptop

Gears of War

Gears of War was a good starting point because it gave me an opportunity to see how the OMEN MAX 16 handled a modern AAA title without immediately jumping into one of the most demanding games available.

The RTX 5090 Laptop GPU had no problem handling the game, and the combination of high-end graphics hardware and the Core Ultra 9 processor made for a very smooth experience. I was able to enjoy the game with high-quality graphics without feeling like I needed to make significant compromises to get good performance.

The 16-inch 2560 x 1600 display also worked particularly well here. I’ve found that games like Gears benefit from the additional detail provided by the higher resolution, and the 240Hz refresh rate kept movement looking smooth during both exploration and combat.

This was a good indication that the OMEN MAX 16 isn’t simply capable of running games. It has enough hardware to let you take advantage of the display’s resolution and refresh rate at the same time.

Call of Duty

The next title I tested was Call of Duty. It was probably the game I was most interested in testing because high frame rates are essential for me when I play a first-person shooter. The OMEN MAX 16’s combination of the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU and Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus is well suited to this type of workload.

Playing Call of Duty on the OMEN MAX 16 was extremely responsive. Movement was smooth, aiming felt precise, and I never felt like the system was struggling to keep up with what was happening on screen.

The Finals

The Finals gave me another opportunity to push the system with a fast-paced multiplayer game that can put considerable demands on both the CPU and GPU.

The OMEN MAX 16 handled the game very well. The combination of fast gameplay, detailed environments, effects, and destruction didn’t present a problem for the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. Gameplay remained smooth, and I didn’t experience the type of performance issues that would make me want to significantly reduce the graphics settings.

I also appreciated the display here. The 2560 x 1600 resolution provides plenty of detail, while the 240Hz refresh rate is well suited to the quick movement and action that The Finals delivers.

The system’s cooling became more noticeable during extended gaming sessions, as I would expect from a laptop with this much hardware packed inside it. The fans were audible when the system was working hard, but I didn’t find them excessively loud. The rear of the laptop also became quite warm.

HP HyperX OMEN MAX 16 Laptop

Gaming Performance Overall

After spending time with all three games, I came away with the impression that the OMEN MAX 16 delivers exactly what I would expect from a laptop built around an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. The benchmark results suggested that it was going to be powerful, but actually playing games made the difference much more apparent.

Gears of War, Call of Duty, and The Finals all ran comfortably. HP essentially built a desktop gaming system that you can pick up and take somewhere else.

Conclusion

The HP HyperX OMEN MAX 16 is the kind of gaming laptop that makes it easy to understand why someone would choose a laptop over a traditional gaming desktop. It packs an impressive amount of hardware into a single machine. While it’s a heavy laptop, HP has designed the OMEN MAX 16 as a desktop replacement, and in that context, the size makes considerably more sense.

For me, the HP HyperX OMEN MAX 16 succeeds because it doesn’t try to disguise what it is. It’s big, heavy, expensive, and extremely powerful. If you want a gaming laptop that can genuinely serve as your primary gaming computer and still be moved when necessary, this is an impressive option. Just make sure you’re comfortable carrying all of that performance with you.

The RISION Magic brings detailed thermal imaging to your smartphone in a compact, affordable package, although its software still needs some refinement.

As a product tester, one of the biggest things I run into is people asking about how hot a device gets with standard use. Typically, I will use infrared thermometers to get temperature readings but I would much rather use a thermal imager so that the device can actually be seen and users can visualize where hot spots are. Some thermal imagers are too large to use conveniently, which is why I was excited about the RISION Magic being released.

RISION Magic Thermal Camera

About the RISION Magic

The RISION Magic is a compact USB-C thermal camera designed to turn a compatible smartphone, tablet, or Windows PC into a portable thermal imaging tool. At just 24 grams and without its own battery, the Magic draws power from the connected device, making it easy to carry and use without another device to charge. RISION offers support for iOS, Android, and Windows, along with free mobile and desktop versions of its RISION View app.

RISION Magic Thermal Camera

The Magic uses a native 160 × 120 thermal sensor and RISION’s QuadIR™ technology to produce a 320 × 240 super-resolved image. It also uses AI BiSpectrix™ to combine thermal and visible-light imagery in real time, helping users connect temperature differences with the physical objects or areas responsible for them.

RISION designed the Magic primarily for everyday troubleshooting and home maintenance. It can be used to look for energy loss around doors and windows, identify HVAC issues, find potential moisture problems, and spot overheating electrical connections without having to touch hot surfaces or exposed wiring. The RISION View app also provides temperature measurements, real-time waveform monitoring, customizable temperature thresholds, multiple measurement zones, thermal image and video capture, and automated PDF reporting.

Pricing & Availability

The RISION Magic has an MSRP of $139, although RISION is currently offering it for $119 through its website. The camera includes free shipping, a 24-month warranty, and a 30-day return period. It can be ordered through rision.com and Amazon.

User Experience

I tested the RISION Magic with my iPhone 16 Pro, and getting started was very easy. After downloading the RISION View app, I plugged the Magic into the phone’s USB-C port, and the app recognized it immediately. I was able to start taking thermal measurements very quickly.

The camera itself is a good size for carrying around. It is compact without being so small that I feel like I am going to lose it. The included carrying case works well for protecting the camera, although I think it could be smaller to better match the compact size of the Magic.

The RISION View app is generally easy to use, but I did run into some software issues during testing. A few settings also weren’t located where I expected them to be. For example, I had to go into my Profile to change the temperature unit from Celsius to Fahrenheit rather than finding that option under Settings. More importantly, the app locked up a few times. If my phone went to sleep while the camera was connected, I sometimes had to disconnect and reconnect the Magic before the app would work again.

The thermal images were the highlight of my testing. They looked very good, with enough detail that it was easy to identify the objects I was looking at. I used the Magic to check a variety of things around the house, including my coffee before and after adding fresh coffee, an air conditioning vent, my keyboard, and our dog. It was interesting to see the differences in temperature across these everyday objects.

I also compared the Magic’s temperature readings with a handheld infrared thermometer. The readings were reasonably close, although the infrared thermometer consistently measured approximately 4 degrees higher. For the type of general-purpose troubleshooting the Magic is designed for, I found the readings accurate enough to be useful.

I did run into another software issue when I tried the reporting feature. Creating a report requires signing up for a RISION account, but I couldn’t complete the registration. After entering the requested information and verification code, the Sign Up button remained disabled. That meant I wasn’t able to test the PDF reporting feature.

Overall, my experience with the Magic was a little mixed. The hardware is compact, easy to use, and produces surprisingly detailed thermal images, but the software still feels like it needs some refinement. I encountered several issues during testing, although none prevented me from using the camera after reconnecting it. Based on the image quality alone, I would recommend the RISION Magic at its $119 price, particularly for homeowners and DIY users who want an easy way to add thermal imaging to a smartphone.

Conclusion

The RISION Magic is an interesting addition to my testing setup because it gives me something an infrared thermometer can’t: a visual representation of where heat is coming from. Being able to see hot spots across a device or identify temperature differences around the house makes thermal imaging much more useful than simply getting a single temperature reading.

The hardware does what I want it to do, and the thermal images are detailed enough to make the camera genuinely useful. If RISION can address some of the software bugs, the Magic would be an even stronger recommendation. For now, I think it is a good option for anyone looking to add thermal imaging to their smartphone without spending a lot of money.

RISION Magic Pro Now Available for Pre-Order: Professional-Grade USB-C Thermal Imaging in Your Pocket

10 September 2026 at 14:05

Featuring AI dual-spectrum fusion, intelligent analysis, and instant reporting, the RISION Magic Pro sets a new standard for home and commercial inspections.

RISION, a global technology brand specializing in thermal imaging and intelligent detection, today opened pre-orders for the RISION Magic Pro, the professional model in its Magic Series of USB-C thermal cameras, available from September 10 on RISION’s official website and Amazon store.

Announced on August 3 alongside the RISION Magic, the Magic Pro turns a smartphone, tablet or Windows computer into a full thermal inspection tool. It shares the Magic’s 24-gram, battery-free USB-C design, AI BiSpectrix™ fusion and free RISION View apps — and adds the image detail needed to inspect, document and report on complex thermal scenes.

“With the Magic, we made thermal imaging accessible to anyone. With the Magic Pro, we give inspectors, tradespeople and demanding home users a tool they can rely on from the first scan to the final report,” said York Guo, founder and CEO of RISION. “Higher resolution shows the problem, live multi-zone analysis quantifies it, and one-tap reporting documents it — at a fraction of the usual price.”

What the Magic Pro Adds

The RISION Magic Pro matches the Magic’s ≤40 mK sensitivity, 25 Hz refresh rate, -4 °F to 1112 °F (-20°C to 600°C) range and ±2% accuracy. Its difference is the sensor: a native 256 × 192 array, processed by QuadIR™ into a 512 × 384 image. Individual breakers, terminals, HVAC tubing or a single pipe behind drywall resolve as distinct objects, with clear separation, and every point, line and area measurement lands on the right component. Radiometric photos, video and one-tap PDF reports carry that same detail to the client.

Built for Real Inspection Work

From electrical panels to HVAC systems, the Magic series handles a wide range of inspection, including but not limited to:

  • Electrical: Monitor five breakers at once; a threshold alert flags any circuit running hotter than its neighbours.
  • HVAC: Compare supply and return temperatures, and film a compressor’s start-up to catch faults that only appear under load.
  • Building and energy audits: Map insulation gaps, thermal bridges and air leaks across a whole façade, then deliver a PDF report tying every anomaly to a visible-light photo.
  • Mechanical and automotive: Track bearings, motors and brake discs with real-time waveform graphs.

Pricing and Availability

The RISION Magic Pro is priced at $299 MSRP. Pre-orders open September 10 on RISION’s official website at an early-bird price of $229 (a $70 discount), valid until September 28, with open sales via the official website and Amazon from the same day. Early buyers receive an extra year of warranty, for three years in total.

Following the full launch of the Magic series in the US, the lineup will also be available in the UK starting September 15. The Magic arrives at an MSRP of £159 with an early-bird price of £139, a £20 saving. The Magic Pro follows on October 13 at £359 MSRP, with an early-bird price of £269, saving early adopters £90.

A detailed specification sheet comparing the RISION Magic and Magic Pro is available to media on request and accompanies this release as a separate attachment.

Apple unveils iPhone Duo

9 September 2026 at 19:56

iPhone Duo features a breakthrough foldable design that’s beautiful, versatile, and durable, opening up possibilities that feel entirely new yet remarkably familiar

Apple today introduced iPhone Duo, the first foldable iPhone. Opened, it is the thinnest iPhone ever, with a 7.6-inch inner display that provides a large canvas for viewing content, gaming, and multitasking, and a special nano-texture finish that minimizes glare for an unparalleled viewing experience. Closed, the 5.4-inch outer display delivers 90 percent of the screen area of iPhone 18 Pro in a compact, pocketable design.1 Both displays share the same aspect ratio, so content scales proportionally, ensuring visual continuity. iPhone Duo is built to last with an innovative hardware design and a precision hinge that offers a smooth, satisfying feel with every use. Powered by the new A20 Pro, iPhone Duo features an advanced thermal management system with a custom-designed vapor chamber and a dual-battery architecture, delivering pro performance and impressive all-day battery life. The advanced camera system takes stunning photos and videos, with the folding design unlocking fun new ways to use the camera that aren’t possible on any other iPhone. iOS 27 is reimagined, remaining familiar and intuitive while adapting to the versatile ways users can interact with iPhone Duo. And with Apple Intelligence2 and Siri AI,3 iPhone Duo brings powerful AI capabilities together with a user’s personal context.

iPhone Duo is available in two refined colors: star white and night sky. Pre-orders begin Friday, October 16, with availability beginning Friday, October 23.

“iPhone Duo is the most transformational change to iPhone since the original. With an entirely new design and intuitive experiences, it shows what’s possible when hardware and software are engineered together and redefines what it means to use a foldable phone,” said John Ternus, Apple’s CEO. “With the largest display ever on iPhone that still fits easily in your pocket, combined with the power of A20 Pro, iPhone Duo helps you stay more immersed and productive wherever you go, whether you’re enjoying content, multitasking across apps, or gaming.”

Two Displays, One Breakthrough Design

iPhone Duo delivers Apple’s largest iPhone display in an entirely new design. Closed, iPhone Duo is comfortable to use one-handed and fits easily in a pocket, with a 5.4-inch outer Super Retina XDR display that provides 90 percent of the screen area of iPhone 18 Pro. Opened, the 7.6-inch inner Super Retina XDR display is 50 percent larger than iPhone 18 Pro Max, offering an immersive canvas for everything users do. A premium nano-texture finish reduces glare and reflections, creating a matte surface that minimizes crease visibility and feels great to touch. Beneath the inner display, a new FaceTime camera stays hidden when not in use to keep the screen uninterrupted. Both displays share the same aspect ratio, designed for how people use their iPhone, so the experience feels continuous whether iPhone Duo is open or closed. The displays also feature ProMotion, Always On, and 3000 nits of peak outdoor brightness. Later this year, iPhone Duo will support Apple Pencil with USB-C, allowing users to take notes, sketch, or mark up documents on either display.

Touch ID is integrated into the side button for easy, secure, and consistent authentication whether iPhone Duo is open or closed, and users can unlock iPhone Duo using their Apple Watch. The design also features Camera Control to quickly launch the camera, including the brand-new Siri Camera mode, which lets Siri see what the user sees to answer questions and take action.

Designed for Durability

iPhone Duo is built to last and feels exceptionally solid with every use. It’s crafted from grade 5 titanium for incredible strength, with an enclosure that has an elegant mirror-polished finish and a 3D-printed hinge cover with a contrasting micro-blasted finish. Ceramic Shield protects the back of iPhone Duo, and Ceramic Shield 2 on the front has 3x better scratch resistance than the previous generation. iPhone Duo is also splash-, water-, and dust-resistant with an IP68 rating.4The hinge is engineered from more than 100 components to precisely control opening and closing and support the center of the display, delivering a smooth, satisfying feel. Internally, support ribs reinforce the structure for added stiffness, while antenna splits with ceramic fiber inserts enhance the frame’s rigidity.

The inner display is designed to withstand the wear of everyday use. A scratch-resistant coating and a nano-textured cover layer — made from a custom polymer with up to 40 percent higher stiffness than other materials used in the industry — protect the surface. High-strength glass sits above and below the folding display panel, with custom adhesives that allow the layers to glide past one another like the pages of a book, relieving bend stress, and a titanium plate at the bottom further enhances durability.

An Advanced Camera System with New Experiences

iPhone Duo delivers an advanced camera system that brings all-new experiences made possible by its breakthrough design. With the new 48MP Fusion Main camera, users can shoot sharp photos at up to 48MP resolution with zero shutter lag, capture in the 24MP default for incredible image quality at a file size perfect for sharing, and get closer to the subject with an integrated optical-quality 2x Telephoto. The 48MP Fusion Main camera also benefits from a new computational image pipeline for sharp details, and excels in low light thanks to a large sensor, fast aperture, and sensor-shift optical image stabilization.

The 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera — the same as on iPhone 18 Pro models — captures wider fields of view and enables macro photography, while the Center Stage front camera can automatically take photos and videos in any orientation, so users don’t have to rotate iPhone for landscape selfies. Upgraded Photographic Styles with new texture and grain controls let users further dial in their desired appearance and have more creative control over their photos.5 Under the inner display, a new FaceTime camera helps users connect with friends and family whether iPhone Duo is held open or propped on a surface for hands-free calls.

The foldable design with dual displays unlocks camera experiences that are not possible on any other iPhone.

  • With Smart Take, users no longer miss out on being in the photo because they are behind the shutter or racing to beat a timer. On-device AI models running on A20 Pro analyze the scene in real time and automatically capture photos when subjects are posing.
  • Users can take a selfie with the higher-resolution rear cameras and preview their shot on the outer display.
  • Duo Preview shows the live preview on the outer display, helping subjects pose, check their framing, and guide the shot.
  • Kid Cue plays animations from Peanuts on the outer display to grab the attention of children so they look at the camera.
  • Duo FaceTime lets people who are with the user join a video call on the outer display, so everyone can share the moment without crowding around one screen.

iPhone Duo supports 4K120 fps recording in Dolby Vision on the 48MP Fusion Main camera, unlocking gorgeous slow-motion effects by adjusting the playback speed. Users can now apply Cinematic effects after capture at up to 60 fps, and Audio Mix introduces new algorithms that deliver higher-quality voices and can now isolate music. Time-lapse supports 4K in Dolby Vision HDR, and users can prop iPhone Duo up without needing a tripod to easily capture longer-duration videos.

A Reimagined Yet Familiar iOS Experience

iOS 27 is tailored for iPhone Duo, delivering a familiar and intuitive experience that introduces new ways to interact with iPhone. Lock Screen controls, the Dock on the Home Screen, and app navigation and controls now appear on the side to maximize vertical space for content. When iPhone Duo is open, the display shows two Home Screen pages with Today View — a vertically scrolling list of customizable widgets — on the left. The status bar includes a circular, flexible system that nestles into the corner of the screen, showing relevant information like Wi-Fi, cellular strength, battery, and more. The Dynamic Island is also redesigned to fit vertically on the side of the outer and inner displays, and expands to show Live Activities and alerts. iOS seamlessly adapts to the new ways to use iPhone Duo — content reacts as it folds, reorients when turned to the side, and switches to the appropriate display when flipped over.

Apple apps are optimized for iPhone Duo, and developers can easily adapt their apps using the new and updated APIs in the latest SDKs, and upcoming support for iPhone Duo in Device Hub in Xcode. Third-party apps, including Netflix, Zoom, and Slack, are already taking advantage of the folding design to deliver immersive experiences that make the most of the larger display and new ways to use iPhone Duo.

The expansive display supercharges productivity, letting users do more at once with new multitasking capabilities. Split View allows users to open two apps side by side on iPhone for the first time. Users can also quickly swap between apps; open two windows of the same app, like Safari; easily have a conversation with Siri AI while looking at content on the other side of the screen; and save pairs of apps to come back to later.

StandBy gets a major upgrade on iPhone Duo. Set iPhone Duo down and it enters StandBy on either the outer or inner display — even when it’s not charging — turning the device into a photo frame, hub for widgets, clock, and more. New Calendar and Weather faces join existing Clock and Modular faces, while the Photos face is updated to display Shared Albums. Every face now offers deeper customization, with new colors, fonts, and complications to choose from.

The Next Generation of Apple Intelligence and an All‑New Siri

iPhone Duo gives users access to Siri AI, an entirely new version of Siri that is rolling out in beta with iOS 27. Powered by Apple Intelligence, Siri is profoundly more personal, capable, and conversational, and becomes even more useful on the large inner display. Powerful AI capabilities paired with personal context make iPhone Duo an intelligent personal hub with privacy and security at its core.

Siri AI can draw on personal context understanding to help users find what they need in the moment across messages, emails, photos, and more; use onscreen awareness to take action related to the content on a user’s screen; and answer questions about virtually any topic. Users can write with Siri by simply describing what they need. The all-new Siri app also makes it easy to revisit past conversations or kick off new ones, with conversational history synced privately across products with iCloud.

Additionally, Apple Intelligence makes apps smarter and more useful. Users can improve the composition of a photo after it’s been taken with Spatial Reframing, Extend, and upgraded Clean Up. Image Playground also now offers photorealistic imagery, and with upcoming support for the SynthID standard, users can identify images generated or edited with AI.6 In Safari, Notify Me helps users monitor web pages for changes, like product restocks or price drops, to stay on top of updates. To protect users’ privacy, Apple Intelligence uses on-device processing and Private Cloud Compute, which extends the privacy and security of iPhone into the cloud.

Pro Performance with A20 Pro and Advanced Thermal Management

Powered by A20 Pro — the same chip in iPhone 18 Pro models — and paired with an advanced thermal management system, iPhone Duo delivers up to 35 percent better sustained performance than iPhone 17 Pro. A new chip package inspired by M-series Apple silicon connects A20 Pro directly to a custom vapor chamber, dissipating heat and powering multitasking, gaming, and complex AI workloads. A new display engine drives the inner and outer displays simultaneously and enables a fluid experience as users transition between them. The 6-core CPU is up to 20 percent faster than A19 Pro, delivering the fastest CPU in a smartphone; the 7-core GPU is up to 40 percent faster and more power efficient; and the new Dual 16-core Neural Engine offers 2x the compute power to run on-device AI models. A20 Pro also delivers 50 percent more unified memory bandwidth and is built on the latest 2-nanometer process technology.

Impressive All-Day Battery Life

iPhone Duo is designed with one high-energy battery on each side to maximize capacity while efficiently using internal space. A combination of Apple silicon and energy rebalancing algorithms allows the batteries to operate seamlessly as one, so users get up to 31 hours of video playback when using the inner display, up to 44 hours of video playback when using the outer display, and up to 24 hours of usage per charge when both displays are used equally.7 Users can also enjoy fast charging — iPhone Duo can charge up to 50 percent in around 20 minutes or wirelessly charge up to 50 percent in around 30 minutes with a MagSafe or Qi2 charger.8

Powerful Wireless Capabilities

iPhone Duo features an eSIM-only design worldwide that saves internal space to maximize battery capacity.9 eSIM offers greater flexibility, better security, and seamless connectivity compared to traditional physical SIM cards, and as an industry standard, it is supported by over 500 carriers around the world, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and more. iOS 27 also introduces iPhone Handoff, which allows users with supported carriers to easily switch back and forth between two iPhone models with the same phone number.10

N1, an Apple-designed wireless networking chip, enables Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread, while C2, Apple’s next-generation cellular modem system, brings AI-powered improvements to cellular quality and reliability, and now supports mmWave in the U.S.

Beautiful New Accessories

To complement iPhone Duo, Apple is introducing beautiful new accessories. The iPhone Duo Folio — available in navy blue and taupe — features an integrated kickstand that supports a wide range of angles for reading, viewing content, or FaceTime, and folds away neatly when not in use. The iPhone Duo Case — available in sand and navy blue — is thin and light, with a protective two-part design that wraps around both sides of the device. Both cases are compatible with MagSafe, Qi2 25W, and Qi-certified chargers. With built-in magnets that align perfectly with iPhone Duo, they offer a magical attach experience and fast wireless charging.

iPhone Duo and the Environment

iPhone Duo was built with the environment in mind and drives progress toward Apple’s ambitious plan to be carbon neutral across its entire footprint by 2030. It is made with 35 percent recycled content overall,11 including 100 percent recycled cobalt in the battery and 100 percent recycled titanium in the 3D-printed hinge cover. iPhone Duo is manufactured with 60 percent renewable energy, like wind and solar, across the supply chain, and meets Apple’s high standards for energy efficiency and safe chemistry. Apple debuts iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max

9 September 2026 at 19:52

The new Pro lineup introduces variable aperture with the most advanced camera in an iPhone, incredible battery life, next‑level performance, and Siri AI, all powered by A20 Pro

Apple today announced iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, delivering the most advanced pro camera system in an iPhone, and huge leaps in battery life and performance. The new 48MP Fusion Main camera, now with variable aperture, brings creative control that wasn’t possible before, and new Pro controls let users customize their experience in the Camera app. Both models feature a smaller and even more useful Dynamic Island, as well as A20 Pro and a next-generation vapor chamber that together deliver the highest sustained performance in iPhone history. iPhone 18 Pro Max also delivers the largest increase in battery life ever on iPhone, thanks to advancements in Apple silicon and a larger battery.1 Featuring iOS 27 with Apple Intelligence2 and Siri AI,3 iPhone 18 Pro models bring powerful AI capabilities together with personal context to become an intelligent personal hub with privacy and security at its core.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are available in four elegant finishes: black, silver, glacier, and an all-new burgundy. Pre-orders begin Saturday, September 12, with availability beginning Friday, September 18.

“With iPhone 18 Pro, we’ve made advancements to the areas our users care about most: camera, performance, battery, and intelligence. And we didn’t just make incremental improvements in these areas — we took huge leaps forward to create the best Pro iPhone we’ve ever made,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “iPhone 18 Pro makes it easy for anyone to capture stunning photos and videos using variable aperture, while providing more versatility for creators and more control for pros. Paired with impactful upgrades to Photographic Styles and powerful video capabilities, iPhone 18 Pro unlocks entirely new ways for users to express themselves.”

An Advanced Camera System That Unlocks More Creativity Across Photo and Video

The new 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture is the most advanced camera Apple has ever made, bringing aperture control to iPhone for the first time along with even more creative control. Six laser-cut blades smoothly transition between different apertures, making it incredibly easy to capture the best shot by automatically adjusting for depth of field and lighting. Combined with a new sensor that improves image quality, the result is better low-light photography, crisper detail in the back of group photos, and more unique shots. Variable aperture also provides more control for creative pros by giving them the ability to manually adjust any of the four aperture settings in the Camera app, and an API is available to developers for even more control across the aperture range in their apps.

With a new computational imaging pipeline, the Main camera produces sharper, more detailed shots, and upgraded Photographic Styles with new texture and grain controls let users further dial in their desired appearance and have more creative control over their photos.4 Industry-leading video capabilities also become more versatile, with the ability to apply Cinematic effects after capture to videos shot at up to 60 fps. In Time-lapse mode, users can now record videos in 4K and Dolby Vision HDR. Audio Mix also has new algorithms that deliver higher-quality voices and can now isolate music.

Pro controls is a new customizable experience in the Camera app for iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max that makes it easier than ever for users to access their most used settings and introduces new options for manual control. Users can now adjust settings such as lens aperture, shutter speed, and white balance, or use a histogram to check exposure levels throughout a scene.

Introducing Apple Reference Image

Users can now prove the authenticity of a photo taken on iPhone 18 Pro models with Apple Reference Image, powered by the new sensor in the Main camera that can sign every pixel it sees. When a photo is taken in the new Reference mode, the camera captures signed sensor data that Private Cloud Compute develops into an unalterable reference image.5Reference images can be viewed in the Photos app alongside the main image, like a digital negative, to visually compare the two assets and determine if any edits were made. APIs are available in iOS, iPadOS, and macOS 27 for third-party apps to enable viewing of these reference images.

Image metadata and upcoming support for the SynthID standard can also help users identify images generated or edited with AI.6 Together with Apple Reference Image, this set of features represents a multifaceted approach to image authenticity — vital for photojournalists, photographers, and everyday viewers.

An Even More Useful Dynamic Island

Using advanced display technology, the Dynamic Island is redesigned to create room for additional information. The upgraded Dynamic Island can now show three Live Activities at once, while continuing to enable Face ID for securely unlocking iPhone 18 Pro models, authenticating purchases, signing in to apps, and more.

A20 Pro: A Powerhouse for Pro Performance and AI

Built using the latest 2-nanometer process technology, A20 Pro sets a new bar for mobile computing. Featuring 50 percent more memory bandwidth than A19 Pro, the new 6-core CPU features integrated Neural Accelerators and is faster than the competition, while the new 7-core GPU design is up to 40 percent faster than A19 Pro — a significant upgrade for graphics rendering. A20 Pro also features a new Dual 16-core Neural Engine, which accelerates on-device AI models and computational photography, and includes 32 total cores for double the AI processing power of A19 Pro. With huge upgrades across the entire chip, A20 Pro is a powerhouse for everything from more advanced on-device AI workloads to demanding games, and is designed to deliver exceptional performance for years to come.

Both models feature N1, an Apple-designed wireless networking chip that enables Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. iPhone 18 Pro introduces C2, Apple’s next-generation cellular modem system, which brings AI-powered improvements to cellular quality and reliability. C2 delivers meaningfully faster uploads when compared to C1X while consuming 15 percent less energy, and now supports mmWave in the U.S.

A New Thermal Management System for Maximum Performance

A20 Pro introduces custom packaging inspired by M-series Apple silicon that places the silicon die side by side with the memory, removing the memory from the thermal path of the chip and allowing A20 Pro to attach directly to a next-generation vapor chamber. With new materials and three times more surface area than the previous generation on iPhone 17 Pro, the redesigned vapor chamber dramatically improves sustained performance and enables up to a 40 percent gain over the previous generation — the highest sustained performance yet.

Incredible Battery Life

iPhone 18 Pro models deliver a massive leap in battery life with new battery designs that leverage powerful silicon efficiencies. eSIM-only models deliver up to 36 hours of video playback on iPhone 18 Pro and up to 45 hours of video playback on iPhone 18 Pro Max. iPhone 18 Pro can also charge up to 50 percent in around 15 minutes, or wirelessly charge up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.7 On iPhone 18 Pro Max, five minutes of wired charging provides around seven hours of video playback, and based on a new battery usage model that leverages real-world data, it provides up to 30 hours of usage on a full charge.8

Featuring iOS 27 with the Next Generation of Apple Intelligence and an All-New Siri

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max give users access to Siri AI, rolling out in beta with iOS 27. Siri AI is an entirely new version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence that is profoundly more personal, capable, and conversational. Both models bring powerful AI capabilities together with personal context to become an intelligent personal hub with privacy and security at its core.

Siri AI can draw on personal context understanding to help users find what they need in the moment across messages, emails, photos, and more; use onscreen awareness to take action related to the content on a user’s screen; and answer questions about virtually any topic. Siri mode in the Camera app allows users to get information and take action on what’s in front of them, and users can write with Siri by simply describing what they need. Additionally, Apple Intelligence makes apps smarter and more useful. Users can improve the composition of a photo after it’s been taken with Spatial Reframing, Extend, and upgraded Clean Up. And now Image Playground offers photorealistic imagery. In Safari, Notify Me helps users monitor web pages for changes, like product restocks or price drops, and stay on top of updates. To protect users’ privacy, Apple Intelligence uses on-device processing and Private Cloud Compute, which extends the privacy and security of iPhone into the cloud.

iOS 27 delivers an expansive set of improvements that make iPhone more responsive, reliable, and easy to use, along with refinements to the software design and more ways to personalize the appearance of Liquid Glass. Additionally, powerful and simple tools, based on expert guidance, give parents more flexible ways to manage what their kids can see, who they can talk to, and when they have access. iOS 27 also introduces iPhone Handoff, which allows users with supported carriers to easily switch back and forth between two iPhone models with the same phone number.9

eSIM: A Flexible, Convenient, and Secure Connection

eSIM offers greater flexibility, better security, seamless connectivity compared to traditional physical SIM cards, and more battery life on eSIM-only models.10 An industry standard, eSIM is supported by over 500 carriers worldwide, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and more. eSIM-only models of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be available in Bahrain, Canada, Guam, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the U.S., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. These models feature an even larger battery, taking advantage of the space formerly occupied by the physical SIM to provide two additional hours of video playback.

Beautiful New Accessories

iPhone 18 Pro models introduce a range of new Silicone Cases, TechWoven Cases, Crossbody Straps, and FineWoven Wallets — all designed to complement the four beautiful finishes. The Clear Case features an updated design and is now compatible with the Crossbody Strap and Wrist Strap. The new Wrist Strap introduces a convenient, hands-free way to carry iPhone, AirPods Pro 2, or AirPods Pro 3. Woven with 100 percent recycled polyester yarns and embedded with flexible magnets that keep it neatly fitted together, the Wrist Strap will be available in six colors: black, taupe, olive, crisp blue, magenta, and burgundy.

iPhone 18 Pro and the Environment

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max were built with the environment in mind, and drive progress toward Apple’s ambitious plan to be carbon neutral across its entire footprint by 2030. Both models are made with 40 percent recycled content overall,11 including 100 percent recycled cobalt in the battery and 85 percent recycled aluminum in the enclosure. They are manufactured with 50 percent renewable energy, like wind and solar, across the supply chain, and meet Apple’s high standards for energy efficiency and safe chemistry. Like all Apple products, their paper packaging is 100 percent fiber-based12 and can be easily recycled at home.

Apple introduces AirPods 5, featuring best-in-class open‑ear Active Noise Cancellation

9 September 2026 at 19:49

With industry-leading ANC in an open-ear design, improved sound quality, hands-free access to Siri AI, and Live Translation, AirPods 5 deliver the best audio experience Apple has ever offered in this style of AirPods, at an incredible price

Apple today announced AirPods 5, delivering the industry’s best Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) in an open-ear design and even better sound quality, at an outstanding value.1 AirPods 5 feature an all-new multiport acoustic architecture and next-generation Adaptive EQ for even more immersive sound. Their breakthrough open-ear ANC removes up to 50 percent more external noise compared to AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation, alongside a more natural Transparency mode. Combined with Siri AI and iPhone, AirPods enable users to draw on their personal context and get answers with broad world knowledge, entirely hands-free.2 Users can also respond to Siri using head gestures, or use Live Translation to help connect across languages.

AirPods 5 offer the most affordable way to experience some of the most powerful AirPods features — along with greater durability with improved dust, sweat, and water resistance — at $129. For users who want even more, AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case add longer battery life and on-stem volume control for $149.3 Customers can pre-order starting today, with availability in stores beginning Friday, September 18.

“We’re thrilled that with AirPods 5, we’re able to bring Active Noise Cancellation — one of our most beloved features — to our most affordable AirPods,” said Dave Pakula, Apple’s vice president of Hardware Engineering. “Both AirPods 5 models deliver a world-class listening experience and enable features like Live Translation for even more people. Paired with Siri AI, AirPods are a game changer for unlocking powerful hands-free capabilities.”

Best-in-Class Active Noise Cancellation

Customers love to use ANC to quiet the world around them so they can rest on a noisy flight, get lost in their favorite music, or stay focused on work. AirPods 5 remove up to 50 percent more noise compared to AirPods 4 with ANC thanks to a new multiport acoustic architecture and improved computational audio algorithms. Along with the benefits of ANC, AirPods 5 feature an improved Transparency mode that more naturally represents voices and nearby sounds, helping users stay connected to their surroundings. Providing the best of both worlds, Adaptive Audio dynamically blends Transparency mode and ANC based on the conditions of a user’s environment. And Conversation Awareness lowers the user’s media volume when they start speaking, helping them more easily talk to someone nearby.

Re-Engineered Sound Quality

Inspired by AirPods Pro 3 and re-engineered for AirPods 5, a new multiport acoustic architecture and next-generation Adaptive EQ deliver richer, more detailed sound across an even wider range of ear geometries. This makes Personalized Spatial Audio more immersive and dynamic, so the user feels like they’re surrounded by whatever they are listening to.4

Intelligent Features, Hands-Free

For users with an Apple Intelligence-supported iPhone, AirPods 5 allow users to tap into helpful intelligent features hands-free and on the go. Siri AI, which is rolling out in beta in iOS 27, is a profoundly more capable and conversational assistant, offering personal context understanding across messages, emails, photos, and more, as well as app actions and broad world knowledge. For example, users can ask Siri to play the song a friend recommended in a message or navigate to a dinner reservation based on the confirmation buried in an email. Siri AI sounds more natural than ever, with expressive voices that a user can customize so it’s just right for them.5 And Dictation now captures what users say with greater precision.

In addition to these new capabilities, Siri already works seamlessly with apps from Apple’s vast ecosystem of developers, so users can continue to take action in the apps they already use, like texting a friend in WhatsApp or playing a book on Audible. With Siri Interactions on AirPods, users can discreetly respond to Siri AI by simply nodding their head yes or shaking their head no.

Live Translation, powered by Apple Intelligence, breaks down barriers by letting users communicate across languages. After setting up Live Translation in the Translate app and downloading their desired languages, AirPods users can access the feature by simultaneously pressing both stems, by saying “Siri, start Live Translation,” or by using the Action button on iPhone — allowing them to hear a conversation in their preferred language. Enabled by ANC and computational audio, this capability is now available across the entire AirPods lineup.

AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case

For users who want even more, AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case deliver great improvements to the AirPods experience. Force sensor with volume swipe arrives on AirPods 5, a first for the open-ear form factor, adding the ability to quickly adjust volume by swiping up or down on the stem.

Battery life is also improved, with up to five hours of playback with ANC on a single charge — one hour longer than AirPods 4 with ANC, thanks to a redesigned battery. This extends up to 22 hours with the charging case when listening with ANC. The wireless charging case supports Apple Watch chargers, Qi-compatible chargers, and USB-C.

AirPods 5 and the Environment

The new AirPods 5 were built with the environment in mind and drive progress toward Apple’s ambitious plan to be carbon neutral across its entire footprint by 2030. They are made with 40 percent recycled material overall,6 including 70 percent recycled plastic in the wireless charging case and 100 percent recycled cobalt in the battery. AirPods 5 are manufactured with 35 percent renewable energy, like wind and solar, across the supply chain, and meet Apple’s high standards for energy efficiency and safe chemistry. Like all Apple products, their paper packaging is 100 percent fiber-based7 and can be easily recycled at home.

Introducing Apple Watch Series 12, with the all-new Health Sensing System

9 September 2026 at 19:42

Apple Watch Series 12 offers the most accurate heart rate sensing in a wearable, higher-frequency heart rate and HRV sensing, a readiness score, and Audio Intelligence features built with privacy at the core

Apple today introduced Apple Watch Series 12, engineered with advanced health sensors and all-new Apple silicon to deliver the most accurate heart rate sensing in a wearable,1 and advanced health and fitness features.

With the new Health Sensing System and S11 chip, Apple Watch Series 12 delivers higher-frequency heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) measurements, which power an enhanced suite of health and fitness features including a new readiness score. A redesigned Health app on iPhone arrives later this year, including a new Longevity tab with a Health Age feature showing how metrics are tracking relative to a user’s age. In addition to powering the Health Sensing System, the S11 chip — Apple’s most powerful wearable chip — also enables new Audio Intelligence features arriving later this year, to help users remember key moments from their conversations and stay alert to important sounds, built with privacy, security, and accessibility innovations at the core.2 With watchOS 27, Apple Intelligence powers Siri AI on Apple Watch, bringing personal context understanding and broad world knowledge to the wrist.

These features add to the many ways Apple Watch already helps users stay active, better understand their health, and get help when they need it, with advanced workout tracking, sleep tracking, heart health notifications, the ECG app,3 sleep apnea notifications,4 Fall Detection, Emergency SOS,5 and more. Apple Watch Series 12 is the most comprehensive wearable across health, fitness, and safety.6

Apple Watch Series 12 is designed to be as individual as the person wearing it and is available in an array of beautiful finishes, including dark bronze, black, light gold, and space gray aluminum, and radiant gold and natural titanium. It is also available in a stunning ceramic material, in pearl white and night blue. Aluminum models now feature Ceramic Shield 2, which is tougher than any smartwatch glass and 60 percent tougher than the Ion-X of previous aluminum models.7 Apple Watch Series 12 is available to pre-order today, with availability beginning Friday, September 18.

“Apple Watch Series 12 is the most advanced health and fitness companion we’ve ever created,” said Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Apple Watch Product Marketing. “With our new Health Sensing System and S11 chip, Apple Watch Series 12 gives you meaningful insights, like readiness, so you can better understand how to take on your day and care for your health, plus intelligence features that make everyday life easier. And it’s all wrapped in a beautifully thin, light design you’ll love wearing all day and night.”

The Most Accurate Heart Rate Sensing in a Wearable

Apple Watch Series 12 is re-architected to provide continuous high-fidelity health monitoring using the Health Sensing System, featuring new optical and electrical heart sensors. Using this system and the S11 chip, Apple Watch Series 12 offers the most accurate heart rate sensing in a wearable. A scientifically rigorous study on a diverse population of over 1,000 participants compared the new heart rate sensing accuracy on Apple Watch against leading wearables, resulting in Apple Watch showing the highest accuracy across devices.

With larger, power-efficient green LEDs on the optical heart sensor, Apple Watch Series 12 now measures heart rate every five seconds, all day long. This continuous, passive measurement delivers deeper insight into a user’s fitness and physiological state while making Exercise and Move Activity rings even more accurate. Users can view their real-time heart rate at a glance throughout their day on a new heart rate watch face complication.

HRV, a key indicator of stress and recovery, is now measured up to 24 times more often and available to view in a new section of the Heart Rate app. Apple Watch provides two separate variants of HRV for better understanding of a user’s health status. Recovery HRV is best for identifying daily signals of stress and recovery, while overall HRV is best for insights into a user’s broader health, including cardiovascular health. Higher variability is generally associated with better overall recovery, while a lower variability value is an indicator of stress.

Overnight vitals now includes recovery HRV measurements analyzed against a user’s personal baseline, providing a more complete view of their health status.8 A new daytime vitals view lets users toggle between overnight and daytime metrics, and can potentially spot shifts in their metrics before they show up overnight.

Readiness: A Daily Read on the Body’s Capacity

Apple Watch Series 12 introduces readiness, a new feature that analyzes a user’s recent activity, training load, vitals, and sleep score to offer insight into their capacity for the day ahead. Readiness provides a single 0-10 score with a clear, actionable recommendation: Recover, Pace Yourself, Ready, or Go For It. This helps a user decide how to take on their day, whether they’re headed into a workday or tackling their training plan.

Readiness updates throughout the day as new data comes in, to reflect, for example, an intense workout or a shift in daytime vitals. Readiness clearly highlights which factors are driving the score and allows users to tap into more details. The scoring algorithm was developed using data from the Apple Heart and Movement Study, in collaboration with exercise scientists and physicians at Apple.

Longer Workout Battery Life and Faster Charging

Apple Watch Series 12 continues to offer up to 24 hours of everyday battery life9 and now offers up to 10 hours of battery life during an outdoor workout — 25 percent more than the previous model.10

Apple Watch Series 12 also offers faster charging: Just 15 minutes now gets up to 12 hours of additional battery life — 50 percent more than the previous model — so users can quickly recharge while getting ready for the day or before bed.11

The Most Accurate Step Tracking of Any Smartwatch

The pedometer model has been completely redesigned with new machine learning algorithms to provide more accurate distance measurements during indoor walk or run workouts, and the S11 chip allows for more accurate step counts all day. As a result, Apple Watch Series 12 now offers the most accurate step tracking of any smartwatch.12 The S11 chip also enables the brand-new Steps complication, so users can track their steps in real time, right from their watch face.

A Redesigned Health App Offers a Holistic View of Long‑Term Health

The Health app on iPhone serves as a central and secure location for a user’s health and fitness information, uniquely positioning it to provide a better understanding of a user’s health. The Health app has been redesigned to dynamically respond to a user’s data using Apple Intelligence,13 with a new Insights tab that surfaces timely health information and a new Longevity tab that analyzes a user’s longitudinal health data for deeper insights. The Longevity tab includes Health Age, an Apple Watch feature that shows users how certain metrics are tracking relative to their actual age.

The Health app also includes movement evaluations that measure flexibility, strength, balance, and more using vision-based AI models on iPhone and heart rate data from Apple Watch. Users will be able to schedule and purchase new labs that feature over 50 key biomarkers for $119 directly through the Health app at approximately 2,000 Quest Diagnostics locations in the U.S. The redesigned Health app will arrive later this year, starting in U.S. English.

Audio Intelligence: A New Way to Stay More Present and Engaged Throughout the Day

Since Apple Watch is always on a user’s wrist, it is the perfect device to help users stay alert to important sounds and stay present and engaged in conversations throughout the day. With the built-in microphone, the power of the S11 chip, the latest Apple Intelligence models on iPhone, and Private Cloud Compute, Apple Watch Series 12 offers a brand-new class of Apple Intelligence features. Audio Intelligence helps users stay aware of the world around them, catch what they missed, and remember key moments — with user control, privacy, security, and accessibility at the center of its design.

Audio Intelligence features include:

  • Sound Recognition, which comes to Apple Watch to alert users who are deaf or hard of hearing of important sounds, even when their iPhone isn’t with them. This feature listens for sounds like sirens, alarms, doorbells, or a baby crying, and uses on-device intelligence to notify users when they’re detected.
  • Live Rewind, which can help users recall what was just said in conversation. A double press of the Digital Crown shows the previous 15 seconds of a conversation as a text snippet, so the user can catch something they may have missed or are less familiar with. Users can ask Siri about the content of the text or save it to the Siri app to revisit later.
  • Siri Recap, which can create high-level summaries of conversations that users can review later to jog their memory. When Siri Recap is turned on, after a conversation, Apple Intelligence automatically generates a title and key points in the new Siri app, allowing users to be more present and engaged in the moment.
  • Shazam, which instantly detects the music playing around the user and automatically displays the song title and artist’s name on the Music Recognition widget in the Smart Stack, easily glanceable on the wrist.

Privacy by Design

Audio Intelligence features are private by design, combining hardware, software, and services to protect user privacy in a way that only Apple can. These features do not create or store audio recordings, and raw audio used for processing is completely inaccessible to the operating systems, apps, the user, or Apple. This is because the S11 chip on Apple Watch Series 12 includes Secure Exclave, a dedicated hardware-isolated compartment that processes audio in complete isolation from the rest of the system, then immediately deletes it.

Users are in control and can choose whether to opt in to each Audio Intelligence feature. They can decide exactly where and when Siri Recap takes notes, and can turn Siri Recap on or off at any time, right from Control Center.

By design, Audio Intelligence features do not identify and attribute speakers, to protect the privacy of both the user and those around them. Siri Recap produces a brief, high-level summary of conversations — not a transcript — and is designed to exclude sensitive information like financial information or government-assigned identifiers. Live Rewind plays an audible chime when it is being used, even if Apple Watch is on silent, and shows a full-display animation and microphone indicator so people nearby can hear and see that the feature has been activated.

Live Rewind text snippets and Siri Recap summaries are end-to-end encrypted in the Siri app with iCloud syncing, and are not accessible even by Apple. Read more about how Audio Intelligence protects privacy. Siri Recap and Live Rewind arrive in beta later this year.

Siri AI Brings Personal Context Understanding and Broad World Knowledge

With watchOS 27, Apple Watch Series 12 supports Siri AI, an entirely new version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence. The new Siri app lets users continue conversations on the go and tap into Apple Intelligence capabilities — like personal context understanding and broad world knowledge — making Apple Watch an even more intelligent companion on the wrist. A new Siri Modular watch face makes it even easier to access Siri throughout the day.14

Featuring watchOS 27

watchOS 27 brings a range of additional updates to Apple Watch Series 12, including:

  • A dynamic app grid featuring the icons for five Siri-suggested apps, which are a user’s most-used and recently used Apple Watch apps.
  • A new single-handed tap gesture, which lets users conveniently open a widget in the Smart Stack by tapping their index finger and thumb. Now users can use the double tap gesture to scroll through the Smart Stack and single tap to select an individual widget — all using only one hand.15
  • Smart Stack widget suggestions, which surface when they are most relevant, like a Parked Car suggestion from Maps or a Birthday Message suggestion on a close contact’s birthday.
  • Support for perimenopause and menopause in Cycle Tracking on Apple Watch and in the Health app on iPhone.16
  • Support for Workout Buddy on Apple Watch when users don’t have their iPhone nearby. Workout Buddy also now incorporates even more fitness data when delivering motivational insights, and is now available in Spanish in addition to English.17

The Apple Watch Hermès collection introduces a new band, Rocabar Club, featuring eye-catching color contrasts and an elongated H knitted in a graphic, three-dimensional pattern inspired by horse-jumping competitions.

Apple Watch Series 12 and the Environment

Apple Watch Series 12 was built with the environment in mind and drives progress toward Apple’s ambitious plan to be carbon neutral across its entire footprint by 2030. It is made with 40 percent recycled material overall,20 including 100 percent recycled aluminum in the aluminum case and 100 percent recycled titanium in the 3D-printed titanium case. All of the electricity used to manufacture Apple Watch Series 12 is sourced from renewable energy, like wind and solar, across the supply chain,21 and Apple has also invested in enough renewable energy around the world to match the electricity customers use to charge their Apple Watch. Like all Apple products, its paper packaging is 100 percent fiber-based22 and can be easily recycled at home.

Apple unveils Apple Watch Ultra 4

9 September 2026 at 19:35

Featuring the new Health Sensing System, which provides the most accurate heart rate sensing in a wearable; powerful insights including readiness; and longer battery life

Apple today introduced Apple Watch Ultra 4 — the ultimate sports and adventure watch — now including new, advanced health and fitness features, and longer battery life.

Engineered with the new Health Sensing System and S11 chip, Apple Watch Ultra 4 delivers the most accurate heart rate sensing in a wearable,1 higher-frequency heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) measurements, and a new readiness score to support athletes of all kinds. Apple Watch Ultra 4 also offers extended battery life to track outdoor workouts for up to 45 hours and the most accurate on-device GPS in a sports watch.2 A redesigned Health app on iPhone arrives later this year, including a new Longevity tab with a Health Age feature showing how metrics are tracking relative to a user’s age. In addition to powering the Health Sensing System, the S11 chip — Apple’s most powerful wearable chip — enables new Audio Intelligence features arriving later this year, to help users remember key moments from their conversations and stay alert to important sounds, built with privacy, security, and accessibility innovations at the core.3 With watchOS 27, Apple Intelligence powers Siri AI on Apple Watch, bringing personal context understanding and broad world knowledge to the wrist.

These features add to the many ways Apple Watch Ultra already supports users with advanced workout tracking across activities, sleep tracking, powerful health features like heart health notifications and the ECG app,4 and game-changing safety capabilities like satellite communications.5 Apple Watch Ultra 4 is the most comprehensive wearable across health, fitness, and safety.6

Apple Watch Ultra 4 comes in sleek and durable natural and black titanium options. It is available to pre-order today, with availability beginning Friday, September 18.

“The new Health Sensing System and S11 chip take Apple Watch Ultra 4 — our most rugged and capable Apple Watch — to the next level, delivering longer battery life, faster charging, and the most accurate heart rate sensing in a wearable,” said Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Apple Watch Product Marketing. “With powerful health and fitness insights including readiness, new intelligent features, and its large, bright display, Apple Watch Ultra 4 is designed to support you wherever you go, from your workouts, to adventures, to everything you tackle in a day.”

The Most Accurate Heart Rate Sensing in a Wearable

Apple Watch Ultra 4 is re-architected to provide continuous high-fidelity health monitoring using the Health Sensing System, featuring new optical and electrical heart sensors. Using this system and the S11 chip, Apple Watch Ultra 4 offers the most accurate heart rate sensing in a wearable. A scientifically rigorous study on a diverse population of over 1,000 participants compared the new heart rate sensing accuracy on Apple Watch against leading wearables, with Apple Watch showing the highest accuracy across devices.

With larger, power-efficient green LEDs on the optical heart sensor, Apple Watch Ultra 4 now measures heart rate every five seconds, all day long. This continuous passive measurement delivers deeper insight into a user’s fitness and physiological state while making Exercise and Move Activity rings even more accurate.

Overnight vitals now includes recovery HRV measurements analyzed against a user’s personal baseline, providing a more complete view of their health status.7 A new daytime vitals view lets users toggle between overnight and daytime metrics, and can potentially spot shifts in their metrics before they show up overnight.

Readiness: A Daily Read on the Body’s Capacity

Apple Watch Ultra 4 introduces readiness, a new feature that analyzes a user’s recent activity, training load, vitals, and sleep score to offer insight into their capacity for the day ahead. Readiness provides a single 0-10 score each day with a clear, actionable recommendation: Recover, Pace Yourself, Ready, or Go For It.

Longer Battery Life and Faster Charging

For everyday use, Apple Watch Ultra 4 now offers more than two days of battery life, up to 50 hours. In Low Power Mode, it offers up to 84 hours of battery life.8 Charging is now faster than ever: Just 15 minutes adds up to 18 hours of additional battery life.9

For outdoor workout tracking, the new Extended Workout mode delivers up to 25 hours of battery life for tracking workouts with full GPS and heart rate readings — a 25 percent increase from the previous model. For even longer workouts, the Max Extended Workout mode allows Apple Watch Ultra 4 to track outdoor runs, walks, and hikes for up to 45 hours, typically enough to finish a 100-mile race, while still taking GPS readings every second.10

The Most Accurate Step Tracking of Any Smartwatch

The pedometer model has been completely redesigned with new machine learning algorithms and the S11 chip to provide more accurate distance measurements during indoor walk or run workouts, and more accurate step counts all day. As a result, Apple Watch Ultra 4 now offers the most accurate step tracking of any smartwatch.11 The S11 chip also enables the brand-new Steps complication, so users can track their steps in real time, right from their watch face.

A Redesigned Health App Offering a Holistic View of Long‑Term Health

The Health app on iPhone serves as a central and secure location for a user’s health and fitness information, uniquely positioning it to provide a better understanding of a user’s health. The Health app has been redesigned to dynamically respond to a user’s data using Apple Intelligence, with a new Insights tab that surfaces timely health information and a new Longevity tab that analyzes a user’s longitudinal health data for deeper insights. The Longevity tab includes Health Age, an Apple Watch feature that shows users how certain metrics are tracking relative to their actual age.12

With the built-in microphone, the power of the S11 chip, the latest Apple Intelligence models on iPhone, and Private Cloud Compute, Apple Watch Ultra 4 offers a brand-new class of Apple Intelligence features.

A double press of the Digital Crown shows the previous 15 seconds of a conversation as a text snippet, so users can catch something they may have missed or are less familiar with.

This is because the S11 chip on Apple Watch Ultra 4 includes Secure Exclave, a dedicated hardware-isolated compartment that processes audio in complete isolation from the rest of the system, then immediately deletes it.

With watchOS 27, Apple Watch Ultra 4 supports Siri AI, an entirely new version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence. The new Siri app lets users continue conversations on the go and tap into Apple Intelligence capabilities — like personal context understanding and broad world knowledge — making Apple Watch an even more intelligent companion on the wrist. A new Siri Modular watch face makes it even easier to access Siri throughout the day.13

Featuring watchOS 27

watchOS 27 brings a range of additional updates to Apple Watch Ultra 4, including:

  • A dynamic app grid featuring the icons for five Siri-suggested apps, which are a user’s most-used and recently used Apple Watch apps.
  • A new single-handed tap gesture, which lets users conveniently open a widget in the Smart Stack by tapping their index finger and thumb. Now users can use the double tap gesture to scroll through the Smart Stack and single tap to select an individual widget — all using only one hand.14
  • Smart Stack widget suggestions, which surface when they are most relevant, like a Parked Car suggestion from Maps or a Birthday Message suggestion on a close contact’s birthday.
  • Support for perimenopause and menopause in Cycle Tracking on Apple Watch and in the Health app on iPhone.15
  • Support for Workout Buddy on Apple Watch when users don’t have their iPhone nearby. Workout Buddy also now incorporates even more fitness data when delivering motivational insights, and is now available in Spanish in addition to English.16

Lineup and Bands

Apple Watch Ultra 4 is available in natural and black titanium.

This fall’s band lineup features new colors across the range. Trail Loop now comes in dark umber, sand, and burgundy, while Alpine Loop comes in desert, dark olive, and burgundy.

Ocean Bands are now made from a unique translucent silicone, which comes in three new colors: translucent gray, translucent kelp, and translucent black.

Apple Watch Hermès Ultra 4

In addition to Apple Watch Hermès Ultra 4 available in natural titanium, the Apple Watch Hermès collection introduces a bold new Grand H titanium band featuring a built-in extension mechanism to conveniently adjust the band to fit over a wet suit. Apple Watch Hermès Ultra 4 also features the new Fathom and Wonder watch face, which allows users to explore an illustration of the ocean’s depths. Rotate the Digital Crown to select one of four watch face options, from the surface to the seabed. Each option features a unique shade of blue and distinct animations.

Apple Watch Ultra 4 and the Environment

The new Apple Watch Ultra 4 was built with the environment in mind and drives progress toward Apple’s ambitious plan to be carbon neutral across its entire footprint by 2030. It is made with 45 percent recycled material overall,17 including 100 percent recycled titanium in the 3D-printed titanium case and 100 percent recycled cobalt in the battery. All of the electricity used to manufacture Apple Watch Ultra 4 is sourced from renewable energy, like wind and solar, across the supply chain, and Apple has also invested in enough renewable energy around the world to match the electricity customers use to charge their Apple Watch. Like all Apple products, its paper packaging is 100 percent fiber-based18 and can be easily recycled at home.

Apple advances health and fitness capabilities using Apple Intelligence and the most accurate heart rate sensing in a wearable

9 September 2026 at 19:31

The all-new Apple Watch Health Sensing System enables a new readiness score and higher-frequency HRV, and a redesigned Health app offers users intelligent and actionable insights

Apple today announced its most advanced health and fitness experience yet, expanding what Apple Watch and iPhone can do as intelligent, science-driven tools for users’ personal wellbeing. Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 introduce the new Health Sensing System, enabling the most accurate heart rate sensing in a wearable, as well as a new readiness experience to give users insight into their body’s capacity to take on their day.1 They pair with a redesigned Health app coming later this year to iPhone, which offers a holistic view of long-term health alongside new, easy-to-understand health and longevity insights powered by Apple Intelligence.2 Together, these updates will give users a more complete picture of their health and fitness while keeping their personal health data private, secure, and under their control.

“At Apple, we believe technology can empower everyone with actionable, science-based insights built with privacy at the core. By combining breakthrough sensing on Apple Watch with Apple Intelligence in the Health app, we’re able to translate complex biometric data into clear guidance for users,” said Sumbul Desai, M.D., Apple’s vice president of Health and Fitness. “This both helps people navigate their day-to-day routines with confidence and connects those moments with deeper context around their longevity, building a strong foundation for a healthier future.”

The New Health Sensing System on Apple Watch

The new Health Sensing System on Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 features new optical and electrical heart sensors, enabling higher-frequency heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) measurements, a new readiness score, a more comprehensive Vitals overview with the addition of HRV, and an updated Heart Rate app.

Accuracy of health data is critical to providing meaningful insights. A scientifically rigorous study on a population of over 1,000 participants with representation across demographic groups compared the new heart rate sensing accuracy on Apple Watch against leading wearables, and resulted in Apple Watch showing the highest heart rate accuracy across devices.

With larger, power-efficient green LEDs on the optical heart sensor, Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 now measure heart rate every five seconds, all day long. This continuous, passive measurement delivers deeper insight into a user’s fitness and physiological state while making Exercise and Move Activity rings even more accurate. Users can view their real-time heart rate at a glance throughout their day — whether they’re recovering from a workout or dashing for the train — using the updated Heart Rate app and new watch face complications.

HRV, a key indicator of stress and recovery, is now measured as often as every five minutes — 24x more frequently — and available to view in a new section of the Heart Rate app. Apple Watch provides two separate variants of HRV for better understanding of a user’s health status. Recovery HRV is best to identify daily signals of stress and recovery, while overall HRV is best for insights on a user’s broader health, including cardiovascular health. Higher variability is generally associated with better overall recovery.

Overnight vitals now includes Recovery HRV analyzed against a user’s personal baseline, providing a more complete view of their health status. A new daytime vitals view lets users toggle between overnight and daytime metrics, and can potentially spot shifts in their metrics before they show up overnight.3

Readiness: A Daily Read on the Body’s Capacity

Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 introduce readiness — a new feature that analyzes a user’s recent activity, vitals, and sleep score, and then provides a single 0-10 score each day with a clear, actionable recommendation: Recover, Pace Yourself, Ready, or Go For It. This helps a user decide how to take on their workday or tackle their training plan.

Readiness updates throughout the day as new data comes in, reflecting, for example, an intense workout or a shift in daytime vitals. Readiness clearly highlights which factors are driving the score and allows users to tap into more details. The scoring algorithm was developed using data from the Apple Heart and Movement Study, in collaboration with exercise scientists and physicians at Apple.

A Redesigned Health App with Apple Intelligence at Its Core

The Health app on iPhone is a central and secure location for a user’s health and fitness information, and can uniquely provide a better understanding of their overall health. Apple Intelligence brings powerful AI capabilities into the apps and experiences users rely on every day, making them more personal and helpful than ever, and with iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, Apple Intelligence extends to the Health app. Redesigned to dynamically adapt to a user’s personal health and fitness metrics, the Health app now offers iPhone and iPad users a view of their long-term health alongside easy-to-understand insights, providing personalized guidance that can help them live a better day and healthier life. The redesigned Health app has been built to securely and privately protect a user’s data at every step.

Insights Tab
The new Insights tab surfaces timely health information with a summary that updates throughout the day across heart, sleep, readiness, fitness, vitals, and cycle tracking data. A new For You section delivers personalized recommendations and relevant articles based on a user’s data — like a suggestion to improve a wind-down routine after a stretch of late nights.

Longevity Tab
A new Longevity tab analyzes a user’s longitudinal health data for deeper insights into heart health, sleep, mental wellbeing, movement health, metabolic health, hearing, and nutrition. The tab includes Health Age, a new feature that uses Apple Watch data to show users how their metrics are tracking relative to their chronological age, informed by the best available science. The algorithm can factor in metrics from Apple Watch like VO2 max, resting heart rate, sleep, and HRV, and users can also add lab data, including A1c and LDL, to enrich the analysis.

Within the Longevity tab, users can see what’s shaping their long-term health based on data from iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods, and clinical health records, as well as third-party apps and devices. An informative visualization fills in each category, helping users understand their status in different areas of health. Users can further build out their health picture through new evaluations, at-home movement assessments, and the ability to add lab tests.

Movement Evaluations
Mobility is a critical marker of overall function and a strong predictor of independence, chronic disease risk, and quality of life. Yet routine assessment remains largely absent from proactive health management, typically requiring a visit to an exercise physiologist or physical therapist. Now, users can take in-depth physical assessments — measuring flexibility, strength, balance, movement mechanics, and VO2 max — right at home using their iPhone camera and Apple Watch. This experience runs entirely on device; no video is ever recorded, stored, or shared. Using vision-based AI models, these assessments provide real-time audio and visual feedback, and were developed using clinician input.

Labs
Lab results from routine testing can provide important insights into a user’s overall wellbeing. Health app users can already import existing labs and see their results and trends over time. Users will be able to schedule and purchase new labs that feature over 50 key biomarkers for $119 directly through the Health app at approximately 2,000 Quest Diagnostics locations in the U.S.

Tailored Health Content
Users will be able to see videos and articles across each area of health that overlays their data with insights from Apple Health clinical experts explaining why it’s important. For example, after a user receives their annual lab results, the Health app will present a video from an expert explaining their LDL levels, what the data means, and how they can take steps to improve, if needed. Or if a user learns from their movement assessment that they need to work on their balance, the Health app will present a video from an expert explaining what they can do. They will also receive an exercise plan to help them improve their balance, with moves selected for their ability and needs.

The redesigned Health app will be available later this year, starting in U.S. English, with more languages to follow.

Perimenopause and Menopause Support Arrive on Cycle Tracking

A person’s menstrual cycle is an essential indicator of overall health, and the Cycle Tracking experience is designed to support individuals across life stages, from logging their first period to receiving a retrospective ovulation estimate, and now, to supporting perimenopause and menopause. Cycle Tracking adapts as users’ health priorities change, whether that’s rooted in curiosity, daily planning, family building, or long-term wellbeing.

With iOS 27, the Health app adds support for perimenopause and menopause, as well as notifications about cycle deviations inclusive of perimenopause, to Cycle Tracking. Users will be able to log if they are in perimenopause or menopause for further customization of their Cycle Tracking experience, track their symptoms, and monitor cycles over time. Additionally, if a user logs bleeding after menopause, they will receive a notification to speak with their doctor. New educational articles are available in the Health app to help users better understand this new chapter, in addition to tips informed by clinical experts.

Additionally, many people don’t recognize they’re in perimenopause because the symptoms can start years before their last period. Now, users age 40 and over can receive a notification if a deviation in their logged cycle patterns is suggestive of perimenopause, so they can speak to their doctor about it at their next appointment.4

Nanoleaf Elevates Whole Body Wellness with Next-Generation LED Neck & Décolletage Mask and 4-in-1 Lymphatic Body Sculpting Massager

9 September 2026 at 17:21

Nanoleaf, a global leader in lifestyle tech innovation, announces the launch of two new additions to its wellness line at IFA 2026: the Nanoleaf LED Light Therapy Neck & Décolletage Mask and the Nanoleaf Lymphatic Body Sculpting Massager.

Together, the devices expand Nanoleaf’s red light therapy and recovery technologies beyond the face, delivering advanced wellness care for the entire body.

Targeted Care Beyond The Face

Designed to bridge the glaring gap between facial care and neck rejuvenation, the Nanoleaf LED Light Therapy Neck & Décolletage Mask brings high-performance innovation to one of the most delicate, frequently neglected areas of the body. While traditional routines focus heavily on the face, the neck and chest are often the first to exhibit premature aging, deep-set lines, crepiness, and loss of elasticity.

At the core of its advanced design is Nanoleaf’s proprietary Triple NIR Technology. By strategically combining three clinically validated Near-Infrared wavelengths – 850nm, 940nm, and 1072nm – the mask is designed to reach deeper layers of the skin and support faster skin cell renewal. The specialized 1072nm Deep NIR wavelength is precision-mapped along key concern areas, delivering targeted energy directly where deep neck lines form.

Featuring a flexible wrap-around design and market-leading surface coverage across both the neck and décolletage, the Neck Mask delivers full care for the delicate area below the face. The Neck Mask features seven targeted treatment modes (Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, Purple, and White) and 5 intensity levels, offering a personalized solution to visibly reduce fine lines, combat acne, fade hyperpigmentation, and restore youthful radiance.

Whole Body Wellness

Completing the head-to-toe care, Nanoleaf is also launching the Lymphatic Body Sculpting Massager – a handheld 4-in-1 device designed to support lymphatic flow, de-puffing and enhance the appearance of more sculpted body contours.

Modern lifestyles, high stress levels and long hours at a desk can contribute to fluid buildup and a visibly swollen or less-defined appearance. Unlike the cardiovascular system, the lymphatic system relies on movement and physical stimulation to circulate lymph fluid throughout the body. Lymphatic massage is a proven technique to boost lymphatic flow, but making it part of a regular routine is often time and cost prohibitive.

The Nanoleaf Lymphatic Body Sculpting Massager brings the principles of lymphatic massage into an easy, at-home experience, fusing four powerful therapies in a single device: Microcurrent, Red Light Therapy, Heat, and Vibration. Vibration encourages lymphatic flow to help flush excess fluid and reduce puffiness. Heat therapy melts away tension and relaxes muscles, and Red Light (640nm + 850nm NIR) supports healthier, more radiant-looking skin. Ergonomic sculpting nodes deliver deep, targeted pressure across the abdomen, legs, arms, and shoulders – working with the
four therapies together to ease tension and support fluid movement for an accessible at-home body sculpting ritual.

The Body Sculpting Massager features 30 customizable intensity levels and 2.5 hours of cordless runtime, making lymphatic care an effortless daily part of a self-care routine.

Retail Availability

The Nanoleaf LED Light Therapy Neck & Décolletage Mask retails for $149.99 USD, $199.99 CAD. The Nanoleaf Lymphatic Body Sculpting Massager retails for $69.99 USD, $79.99 CAD. Both products are available now at nanoleaf.me and Amazon.

Aqara Showcases The New Smart Lighting Series and Immersive Smart Home Experience at IFA 2026

9 September 2026 at 17:10

Aqara, a global leader in IoT, announced a new lineup of smart lighting products and a global community platform or smart space creators, at IFA 2026 in Berlin.

The announcements reflect Aqara’s ongoing vision for AI-driven spatial intelligence — spaces that understand their users and adapt to how people actually live in them.

The new lighting series — spanning indoor and outdoor use — integrates seamlessly with Aqara’s existing ecosystem of sensors, switches, and hubs, bringing complete whole-space lighting scenarios and automated controls to life.

The new Aqara products showcased include the Floor Lamp T1, LED Downlight T2, LED Strip T2, Outdoor String Lights H1, and Permanent Outdoor Lights H1. In addition, the company will present Aqara Builder, a platform for creators sharing ideas and engaging in discussion. Aqara will demonstrate these innovations at IFA 2026 (Booth #157, Hall 1.2, Berlin).

The Expanded Smart Lighting Lineup

Aqara’s new lighting series brings smart, connected illumination to more parts of the home, indoors and out. Every product in the lineup supports both Thread and Zigbee connectivity, is Matter-enabled, and works seamlessly across major smart home platforms including Apple Home, Home Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, and Homey. Paired with Aqara sensors, switches, and the Aqara Home app, each light can also respond to presence, routines, and existing automations instead of relying on manual control.

To showcase how smart lighting interacts with the broader home, Aqara’s booth features a fully constructed, real-world living space. Visitors can walk through interactive scenarios to see how the new lighting lineup works synchronously with Aqara’s complete product catalog—including motion and presence sensors, smart switches, and central hubs. Rather than showing standalone devices, this setup illustrates true spatial intelligence: lights adjusting automatically as someone enters a room, setting the mood based on daily routines, or reacting instantly to environmental triggers without touching a button.

Aqara Floor Lamp T1

Standing 1,420 mm tall, the Floor Lamp T1 turns a plain wall into part of the room’s atmosphere, its side-emitting design washing light evenly across the surface for movie nights, gaming, or everyday mood-setting. A new high-precision 16-bit, 5-channel chip drives 18 individually controllable zones, delivering color transitions that feel smooth and cinematic. The ultra-wide tunable white range from 2,000K to 9,000K, and up to 1,000 lumens of brightness also deliver smooth and comfortable everyday illumination. Paired with Aqara sensors and switches, it can shift automatically as the evening changes, dimming down for a movie night or brighten for a game night.

Aqara LED Downlight T2

Built for real homes with real ceiling constraints, the Downlight T2’s ultra-thin profile makes it a practical fit for low ceilings and easy retrofits. Choose the RGB CCT version for both mood lighting and daily use with expanded 2000K–9000K range and 16 million colors, or the simpler CCT version for reliable everyday brightness up to 1,200 lumens. Like other Aqara lights, the Aqara LED Downlight T2 has power-off memory, which means lights return to exactly the state you’d expect , helping maintain a consistent user experience after an outage.

Aqara LED Strip T2

Trimmable and flexible enough to fit under cabinets, along shelving, or around any tight corner, the Strip T2 delivers even, high-quality light rather than visible hot spots. With 108 LEDs per meter, a 16-bit 5-channel chip, and 18 independently controllable zones every 3 meters, it supports smooth color gradients and music-synced effects that keep a gathering feeling alive rather than static. Anyone who’d rather skip manual setup can simply describe a mood or lighting experience they want in natural language in the Aqara Home app and get a coordinated scene automatically.

Aqara Outdoor String Lights H1

Outdoor entertaining often ends the moment the sun goes down. The Outdoor String Lights H1 is built to extend it, with individually controllable zones for rich, weatherproof illumination across patios and decks. An ultra-wide color temperature range from 2000K to 9000K delivers high-precision warmth for evening relaxation and bright, comfortable light for outdoor activities. Beyond aesthetics, it’s practical: the lights can adjust automatically by time of day, environment, or triggers from other Aqara devices, marking a path after dark or responding to a security event without anyone touching a switch. By utilizing Aqara’s AI-powered Gen-Scene feature, users can simply describe their ideal scenario and the H1 can build a full scene across every connected zone.

Aqara Permanent Outdoor Lights H1

The Permanent Outdoor Lights H1 solves a familiar seasonal chore. No more climbing a ladder every holiday season to hang lights, and no more taking them down again in January. Installed only once, it adapts to any occasion with one-tap presets and independently controlled LEDs. It’s extendable, cuttable to fit any roofline, and weatherproof for year-round use.

Beyond the new hardware lineup, Aqara also brings Aqara Builder, a global content-sharing community platform,  to IFA, empowering users and experts to explore ideas and enhance their intelligent space experience.

Modern Web Data Privacy: Understanding How IP Addresses and Network Proxies Work

7 September 2026 at 21:36

Every website needs an IP address to return requested data to the right connection. At the same time, that address can reveal the approximate location and network used to access the site.

For research, monitoring, and other web tasks where the visible IP matters, a residential proxy service provides access through IP addresses associated with residential internet networks. This gives users more control over the location seen by websites and makes it easier to work with public web data across different markets.

What an IP Address Tells a Website

An IP address works as a network identifier. When a browser or application requests a page, the destination receives that address as part of the connection. It usually does not reveal an exact home address or personal identity. However, it can provide information about the internet provider and approximate geographic area. Websites may also recognize that several requests come from the same public IP.

This matters when content changes according to location. An online store may display different prices, stock information, or shipping options depending on the visitor’s country. Search results and other public web content can also vary between regions.

How a Residential Proxy Changes the Connection

A residential proxy places another network address between the user and the destination website. Instead of seeing the original public IP, the site receives a residential IP used by the proxy connection. These addresses are associated with internet service providers and residential networks. This makes them particularly useful when a task requires access that reflects a specific geographic market.

For example, a company researching several countries can send requests through residential IPs in each target location. The team does not need a physical computer or employee in every market simply to check public web information.

Where Residential Proxies Add the Most Value

Residential proxy services are useful when both location and consistent access matter. They can support several common web-based tasks:

  • market research — collect public information from the locations that actually matter to the business;
  • price monitoring — compare regional prices, promotions, availability, and other e-commerce data;
  • localized content checks — see how public pages or search results differ between countries and cities;
  • large-scale data collection — distribute requests across multiple residential IPs instead of depending on one address;
  • multi-region testing — check whether websites and online services display the expected content in different markets.

These uses have one thing in common: the IP address affects either what information is available or how reliably it can be collected.

Why Rotation and Location Control Matter

A large residential proxy pool becomes more useful when the same project requires many requests. IP rotation allows connections to move between addresses instead of repeatedly using one source. Not every task needs constant rotation. Some workflows require several related requests to keep the same IP for a period, while independent requests can move between addresses more frequently.

Location control is equally important. A team researching the UK market needs UK-based results, while data intended to represent the US should come from the appropriate geographic context. Mixing locations can make later comparisons less reliable.

Using Residential Proxies Effectively

A proxy service works best when the project has clear collection rules. Teams should know which markets they need to cover, how often information should be checked, and whether each task requires a stable or rotating IP. It also helps to keep the network setup consistent over time. If one price check uses a UK residential IP and the next uses an unrelated region, the difference in results may come from location rather than an actual market change.

Residential proxies should support the research process rather than complicate it. The most useful setup is one where IP selection, rotation, and geographic targeting match the way the collected data will later be compared.

Conclusion

Residential proxies give businesses more control over one of the most important parts of web access: the IP address and its geographic context. They are particularly useful for market research, regional monitoring, large-scale public data collection, and other tasks where one fixed connection is too limiting.

A reliable residential proxy service makes it easier to work across multiple locations, distribute requests, and keep regional data collection consistent. For teams that regularly depend on public web information from different markets, this makes residential proxies a practical part of the data-access infrastructure.

How to Lock Down an Online Casino Account Like a Bank App

7 September 2026 at 21:34

Most people treat a casino login the way they treat a game login: a quick password, a saved card, done. That is the wrong mental model. An online casino account has a cash balance, one or more stored payment methods, your identity documents, and a full history of your activity. It is a financial account that happens to have games attached, and the sensible way to secure it is the way you would secure the bank app sitting two icons away on the same phone. The good news is that the tools are mostly already there. The bad news is that almost nobody switches them on.

Start with the login itself

The single biggest upgrade is the one Apple, Google and Microsoft have spent three years pushing: stop using a password you can remember. A long random one from your password manager is the floor. A passkey, where the operator offers it, is better still, because there is nothing to phish and nothing to leak in a breach. As the FIDO Alliance put it when Silicon Republic asked how long the shift would take, an attacker now has to be in possession of your device and of you. On a Mac or iPhone that means Face ID or Touch ID does the signing, iCloud Keychain syncs the key, and the site never holds a secret worth stealing. Reused passwords are how most accounts fall. Fix that first and half the risk is gone.

Turn on the second factor, and choose the right one

Two-factor authentication is the next switch, and the type matters more than most guides admit. Codes sent by text are better than nothing, but a phone number can be moved to a new SIM by someone who talks their way through a carrier’s support line, and that is exactly how high-profile accounts keep getting taken over. An authenticator app on the phone, or the built-in codes in iOS and macOS Passwords, has no such weakness. While you are in the settings, switch on login notifications. An alert about a sign-in from a city you have never visited is worth more than any amount of password complexity.

The controls that protect the money, not the login

Here is where casino accounts differ from most apps, and it works in your favour. Because the operator handles money, the account comes with controls designed to limit damage, and they double as security features. A deposit limit caps what an intruder could push through even with full access. Withdrawals that can only return to the payment method you deposited with mean a thief cannot redirect your balance to their own card. The identity check before a first withdrawal, the one that annoys everyone, is the same barrier that stops a stranger cashing out your account. Set the limit yourself, complete the check early, and the account becomes a far less rewarding target.

Where the settings are kept

The lobby is what a casino shows you. The account menu behind it is what protects you. On an online casino in Ireland at Novibet, as on most modern operators, the games sit up front, sorted into slots, roulette, jackpots and table games, and the security, limits, verification and session settings sit one tap away in the account area beside the cashier. It takes about five minutes to walk through them once, and most of the settings that matter are toggles. The catch is that nothing prompts you to do it. The lobby is designed to be opened. The settings page is designed to be found.

The Mac and iPhone side of it

A few habits on the device end finish the job. Sign up with a Hide My Email address so a breach at the operator does not expose the address you use everywhere. Let Safari or your password manager fill credentials rather than typing them, since autofill refuses to work on look-alike phishing domains and people do not. Keep the operating system current, because most credential theft on a phone comes through an old browser, not a clever attack. And log out of sessions on devices you no longer use, which is the one step people forget after upgrading their phone. Treat the account like money, because that is what it is. Everything else follows from getting that one sentence right.

Mac vs PC Casino Gaming: Speed, Browsers, Gameplay and the Real Differences

7 September 2026 at 21:33

The old Mac versus PC argument used to be easy when gaming came up. If games were the priority, Windows usually won without much debate. More titles supported it, graphics hardware was easier to upgrade and developers generally treated the Mac as an afterthought. Browser gaming has made that comparison less straightforward.

Open an online casino on a recent MacBook and then open the same site on a decent Windows laptop, and the difference is often much smaller than people expect. Casino games do not usually ask the computer to render a huge open world or keep dozens of players moving around a 3D map. Much of the heavy work happens elsewhere, while the browser handles the part the player actually sees.

There are still differences between Mac and PC, but for this kind of gameplay they tend to involve browsers, screen behaviour, battery life and the way each machine fits into everyday use rather than raw gaming power alone.

Browser choice matters more than the logo on the laptop

For most browser-based casino games, the browser has become the real platform. Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox all support the web standards used by most current gaming sites, although they do not always behave identically.

Players scrolling a casino lobby through a service such as Betway may notice more difference after switching from Safari to Chrome than after switching from macOS to Windows, especially when the casino games lobby itself contains a lot of animation, thumbnails and constantly updating content.

The tech stack behind the site matters enormously here. If the casino lobby has been built well, browsing should feel smooth on either operating system. If it has not, a powerful machine cannot always hide poor web design.

Safari versus Chrome is a more useful argument

For Mac users, Safari has one obvious advantage: it is deeply integrated with macOS. It can be efficient on battery and generally feels at home on the machine.

Chrome, however, remains enormously popular and can sometimes behave better with sites developed primarily around Chromium browsers. That creates a more useful comparison than simply Mac versus PC.

Browser compatibility is one of those areas where the tech behind casino games has improved dramatically, though occasional differences still exist.

Switching from computer to phone changes the picture again

One reason browser casino gaming has become less dependent on operating systems is that users do not necessarily stay on one device. Someone might open the casino games lobby on a MacBook during the evening and later use a phone. The same applies to someone starting on a Windows PC. That puts pressure on the platform rather than the computer.

Saved account information, familiar menus and consistent gameplay matter more when people move between screens.

Inside a service such as Betway, for example, the online casino needs the casino lobby and individual casino games to remain recognisable across devices, because the tech behind that continuity now matters more than whether the first session happened on macOS or Windows. Cross-device consistency has made the desktop operating system less central to the experience.

PC wins if casino gaming is only one part of heavier gaming

There is one situation where the answer becomes much clearer. If someone also plays demanding PC games, Windows remains the more flexible choice.

The game library is larger, hardware choices are broader and dedicated gaming PCs offer performance options that Macs are not really designed to compete with. That matters if casino games are only one small part of a much bigger gaming habit.

If the machine is mainly used for browsing, work, streaming and occasional online casino gameplay, the difference shrinks considerably.

The casino games lobby does not care that one machine could run the latest shooter at 144 frames per second. It just needs the browser to work properly.

Neither side has a major advantage once the game loads

Once a casino game is actually running, Mac and PC often feel surprisingly similar. The rules are the same. The animations are the same. The gameplay does not suddenly change because the operating system changed.

That is probably the biggest difference between casino gaming and traditional computer gaming. With a native PC game, hardware and operating system support can shape the entire experience. With browser-based casino games, the platform is deliberately built to reduce those differences.

The tech happens across the web, while the computer mostly provides the screen and browser. That is why a decent Mac and a decent PC can feel almost identical once the game is underway.

The real differences sit around the gameplay

So, which is better? For casino gaming alone, there probably is not a meaningful universal winner. A Windows PC offers more hardware choice, greater upgrade flexibility and better compatibility if the user also wants traditional PC games. A Mac offers excellent battery efficiency, strong displays and a polished browser experience, particularly on newer Apple silicon machines.

For an online casino, however, both are more than capable. The casino lobby will matter more than the operating system if it is badly organised. Browser optimisation will matter more than the logo on the lid if pages are slow. The quality of the casino games and the gameplay will matter more than whether the computer is running macOS or Windows.

That is the part of the old Mac versus PC debate that has changed. When gaming lived entirely in installed software, the computer often decided what you could play.

With browser-based casino games, the tech has moved enough of the experience onto the web that the computer is increasingly just the place where you happen to open it.

What Makes Syabas99 Free Credit Casino a Standout Example of 2026’s Mobile-First Gaming Movement

5 September 2026 at 14:21

There’s something happening across Malaysia’s online gaming scene that you can’t ignore. Players aren’t waiting until they’re home at their desktops anymore. They’re spinning reels during lunch breaks, playing a few hands of blackjack whilst commuting, and checking their loyalty points between meetings. The mobile-first trend has completely reshaped how Malaysians experience online casinos in 2026, and it’s created some genuinely exciting opportunities for players who know where to look.

I’ve watched this shift unfold over the past couple of years, and what strikes me most isn’t just that people are using their phones more. It’s how platforms have responded. The best operators aren’t simply shrinking their desktop sites to fit smaller screens. They’re building entire experiences around mobile behaviour, recognising that most players will never even visit the desktop version. This changes everything from game selection to bonus structures to how promotions get delivered.

The Free Credit Model Goes Mobile

Free credit promotions have existed for ages, but 2026 has seen them evolve in fascinating ways. What used to be a simple signup bonus has become a sophisticated tool for player engagement, especially on mobile platforms. Players can now claim credits through apps, receive push notifications about time-limited offers, and use those credits across any device without missing a beat.

The appeal is straightforward. You get to test games without dipping into your own funds immediately. But the mobile aspect adds another layer. When you’re out and about and suddenly have fifteen minutes to spare, being able to open an app and play with free credits removes that hesitation about committing real money in a rushed moment. It’s become a popular way to explore new slot titles or try live dealer tables you might not have considered before.

From what I’ve seen, Malaysian players particularly appreciate this flexibility. Life here moves fast. Not everyone has hours to dedicate to gaming sessions. Quick mobile access paired with free credit offerings means you can enjoy quality entertainment in whatever time you’ve got available.

How Platforms Are Adapting Their Entire Approach

The technical side matters more than most players realise. Responsive design is just the starting point. The platforms leading this mobile-first movement in 2026 are optimising load times obsessively, because a three-second delay on mobile will send users straight to a competitor. They’re also rethinking game libraries entirely.

Not every desktop slot translates well to a five-inch screen. The best mobile casinos curate their offerings, prioritising games with touch-friendly interfaces and clear graphics that don’t require squinting. Popular providers have started designing mobile-exclusive titles with vertical orientation and simplified controls. It’s a completely different design philosophy.

Payment integration has improved dramatically too. Mobile wallets, instant bank transfers, and even cryptocurrency options now work seamlessly within apps. The days of switching between your casino app and banking app multiple times are largely over. Everything happens in one smooth flow, which matters enormously when you’re playing on the go.

Why Free Credit Promotions Suit Mobile Behaviour Perfectly

There’s a psychological element here worth exploring. When you’re on mobile, your gaming sessions tend to be shorter and more spontaneous. Free credits match this behaviour beautifully. They let you jump into action immediately without the mental friction of deciding how much to deposit or whether you’ve got time for a proper session.

Platforms like Syabas99 have recognised this shift and structured their promotions accordingly. Instead of one massive welcome bonus that requires hours of play to unlock, you’re seeing more frequent smaller credit drops, daily login rewards, and game-specific free spins that you can use in minutes. This approach respects how people actually use their phones for entertainment.

The mobile-first approach also means personalisation has gotten smarter. Apps can track which games you favour, what time of day you typically play, and which promotions you actually claim versus ignore. This data helps platforms send you relevant free credit offers rather than generic blasts that don’t match your interests. When done well, it feels helpful rather than intrusive.

Live Dealer Gaming Finds Its Mobile Audience

One trend I didn’t see coming was how popular live dealer games would become on mobile. A few years back, most people assumed live casino needed a big screen to work properly. Turns out that wasn’t true at all.

Improved streaming technology and better camera work have made mobile live dealer experiences genuinely enjoyable. You can chat with dealers, watch cards being dealt in high definition, and get that social casino atmosphere all from your phone. Free credit promotions often include live casino play now, which gives players a risk-free way to try these premium experiences.

Malaysian players seem especially drawn to live baccarat and roulette on mobile. The games are easy to follow on smaller screens, rounds are quick, and there’s something appealing about having a real dealer deal your cards whilst you’re sitting in a cafe or waiting for an appointment. It brings a bit of excitement to otherwise mundane moments.

The Social and Community Aspects

Mobile gaming has also changed how players interact with each other and with brands. In-app chat features, tournament leaderboards that update in real time, and social sharing options have created communities that didn’t exist in the desktop era. You’ll see players celebrating big wins together, sharing tips about which slots are paying well, and competing in challenges for bonus credits.

This social dimension strengthens player loyalty in ways traditional advertising never could. When you’re part of a community, you’re more likely to stick with a platform even if a competitor offers a slightly better bonus. The relationships and reputation you’ve built matter. Smart operators in 2026 are fostering these communities rather than just focusing on individual player acquisition.

What This Means for Players Right Now

So where does all this leave you as someone exploring Malaysia’s online casino options? The mobile-first trend creates genuine advantages if you know how to use them. First, don’t feel obligated to play on the desktop if mobile suits your lifestyle better. The experience is often just as good and sometimes better.

Second, take advantage of mobile-specific promotions. Many platforms offer app-exclusive bonuses or enhanced free credit deals for mobile users. These aren’t advertised as loudly as general welcome bonuses, but they’re often more generous because operators really want to build their mobile user base.

Third, explore games you might have dismissed on the desktop. A slot that felt cluttered on a big monitor might be perfectly designed for mobile. The reverse is also true. Some complex strategy games work better with a mouse and keyboard. Your game preferences might shift depending on your device, and that’s perfectly normal.

Looking at the Bigger Picture

The mobile-first movement in 2026 represents more than just a technical shift. It’s a recognition that players want gaming to fit into their lives, not the other way around. Free credit models complement this perfectly by removing barriers to entry and letting you play on your own terms.

Platforms that understand this philosophy are the ones thriving right now. They’re not trying to replicate the desktop experience on a smaller screen. They’re building something entirely new that respects how people actually use their phones. For Malaysian players, this means more choice, better experiences, and promotions that genuinely add value rather than just looking good in advertising.

The convenience factor can’t be overstated. Having quality casino entertainment available whenever and wherever you want it changes the entire relationship with online gaming. It becomes a flexible leisure option rather than something requiring dedicated time and space. That’s a pretty significant shift, and it’s one that’s only going to accelerate as technology continues improving.

Five Standout Perks That Make BERJAYASAMA Casino Worth Your Time in 2026

5 September 2026 at 14:19

I’ll be honest with you. The online casino scene here can feel overwhelming sometimes. There are dozens of platforms competing for your attention, each promising the world. But after spending considerable time exploring what’s available to local players, I’ve come to appreciate what sets certain operators apart from the pack. Today I want to share my thoughts on why BERJAYASAMA has earned a spot on my shortlist, and why I think it deserves a closer look if you’re searching for a solid gaming home this year.

This isn’t about hype or flashy marketing. It’s about real advantages that actually matter when you’re settling in for an evening of entertainment or chasing that weekend thrill.

A Payment Experience That Just Works

Let’s start with something practical. Money movement matters. If you can’t get funds in and out smoothly, nothing else really counts. From what I’ve seen, BERJAYASAMA handles this side of things with genuine care for local preferences. The platform supports the banking methods Malaysians actually use daily, not some obscure international options that require three extra steps and a currency conversion headache.

You’ll find familiar e-wallet options alongside direct bank transfers. Processing times are reasonable. I haven’t encountered those frustrating multi-day withdrawal waits that plague some competitors. There’s something reassuring about knowing your winnings won’t be stuck in limbo for a week while support sends templated responses about “processing times.”

The deposit limits are sensible too. You’re not forced into massive minimum deposits just to try a few games. That flexibility matters, especially if you’re the type who prefers to test the waters before diving in properly.

Game Selection That Keeps Things Fresh

Variety isn’t just about quantity. Sure, having hundreds of titles sounds impressive in a promotional email. But what really counts is whether you’ll actually enjoy playing them. BERJAYASAMA seems to understand this distinction. The game library feels curated rather than bloated.

Slot enthusiasts will find plenty to explore. I’m talking about quality titles from recognised providers, not filler content designed to pad the numbers. The live casino section deserves special mention. Real dealers, smooth streaming, and table limits that accommodate both cautious players and those with bigger bankrolls. There’s a genuine atmosphere to these games that you don’t always get elsewhere.

Table game fans aren’t left behind either. Multiple blackjack variants, roulette options with different rule sets, baccarat tables that cater to various playing styles. The selection shows thoughtfulness about what different players actually want to experience.

Bonus Structure That Makes Sense

I’ve grown sceptical of casino bonuses over the years. Too often they’re designed to look generous in the headline whilst hiding impossible conditions in the fine print. What I appreciate about BERJAYASAMA is the straightforward approach to promotions. The welcome offer isn’t trying to trick you with inflated percentages tied to unreachable wagering requirements.

The ongoing promotions calendar shows consistency. You’re not just courted during sign-up and then forgotten. Regular reload bonuses, cashback offers, and seasonal campaigns keep things interesting for established members. The loyalty programme adds another layer, rewarding continued play without demanding you stake enormous amounts to reach the first meaningful tier.

What really stands out is the transparency. Terms are clearly stated. Wagering requirements sit at reasonable levels. Game contributions are spelled out properly. You won’t feel like you need a law degree to understand whether a bonus is actually worth claiming.

Mobile Experience Built for Real Use

Most of us don’t sit at desktops anymore. We play on phones during commutes, whilst waiting for appointments, or lounging at home with a device in hand. BERJAYASAMA clearly recognises this shift in behaviour. The mobile platform isn’t an afterthought bolted onto a desktop site. It feels purpose-built for smaller screens and touch navigation.

Games load quickly even on moderate connections. The interface remains intuitive when you’re navigating with your thumb. Account management, deposits, and withdrawals work just as smoothly on mobile as they do on larger screens. I’ve tested this across different devices and the consistency holds up well.

There’s no forced app download either. The browser-based platform gives you full functionality without eating up storage space or requiring constant updates. That’s a smart choice that respects how people actually use their phones.

Support That Actually Responds

Customer service often reveals a platform’s true colours. You can have brilliant games and generous bonuses, but if support disappears when you need help, the whole experience sours. BERJAYASAMA maintains a support team that’s genuinely accessible. Live chat connects you to real people who can address specific questions, not just bots recycling FAQ answers.

Response times are reasonable. The staff demonstrate actual knowledge about the platform.

I’ve tested this with both simple queries and more complex account questions. The quality remained consistent. There’s also proper localisation here, with support available in languages that make sense for the regional player base.

Security Measures You Can Trust

This might not be the most exciting topic, but it’s absolutely critical. Online gaming requires trust. You’re sharing financial information and expecting fair treatment. BERJAYASAMA takes the security side seriously, employing proper encryption for data transmission and maintaining secure payment processing standards.

The licensing and regulatory compliance are in order. This isn’t some fly-by-night operation running out of someone’s garage. There’s legitimate oversight and accountability built into the structure. Game fairness is maintained through certified random number generation. You can verify this information rather than just taking marketing claims at face value.

Account security features include two-factor authentication options and activity monitoring. These tools give you control over your own protection whilst the platform handles the broader security infrastructure.

Why It Matters for Malaysian Players Specifically

Context matters in online gaming. What works brilliantly for European players might miss the mark entirely here. BERJAYASAMA demonstrates genuine understanding of what local players need. The payment methods reflect regional banking realities. The customer support hours align with our time zone rather than forcing you to wait until European morning for assistance.

Game selection includes titles that resonate with local preferences. Promotional timing considers regional holidays and events. These might seem like small details, but they add up to an experience that feels designed for you rather than adapted from a template meant for somewhere else.

Final Thoughts Worth Considering

I’m not suggesting BERJAYASAMA is perfect. No platform is. But after exploring what’s available and weighing the practical advantages, I think it represents a solid choice for players who value reliability, transparency, and genuine player consideration over flashy gimmicks.

The combination of sensible banking, quality games, fair bonuses, and responsive support creates an environment where you can focus on enjoyment rather than constantly troubleshooting problems or second-guessing whether you’re being treated fairly. That’s worth quite a bit in my book.

If you’re currently searching for a new gaming home or simply curious about alternatives to your current platform, BERJAYASAMA deserves your consideration. Take a look at what they’re offering. I think you’ll find the experience matches the promise.

UGREEN’s Smart Living Launch Event Shows a Different Vision for the Connected Home

3 September 2026 at 23:10

A look inside UGREEN’s push beyond charging and storage, as HomeAgent aims to make the smart home more connected, proactive, and personal.

For years, home security cameras have largely been designed around the things we do not want to happen. A camera watches for an intruder, detects a package, alerts you when someone approaches the door, or records an unexpected event.

UGREEN wants to change that.

At its Smart Living Launch Event at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on September 1, the company introduced HomeAgent, a new AIoT ecosystem designed to bring local storage, artificial intelligence, home automation, security, and everyday memories together under one system.

The event was not simply a product launch. It was an opportunity to see how UGREEN envisions its products working together, and perhaps more importantly, how the company thinks technology should fit into our lives.

That vision can be summed up in three ideas UGREEN repeatedly returned to throughout the event: Activate. Proactive. Trusted.

Rather than adding another collection of smart devices that each require their own app and setup process, UGREEN is attempting to build a system that understands what is happening in the home and can respond without requiring constant interaction from the user.

Stepping Into UGREEN’s Smart Living Vision

The event was divided into two primary areas. One side of the space was arranged around the stage, where UGREEN presented its vision for the future of the smart home. The other side was dedicated to hands-on demonstrations of the products and technologies introduced during the event.

The atmosphere was surprisingly relaxed. The UGREEN team was welcoming and genuinely appreciative of the media and clients who had attended. Representatives were readily available throughout the event, which made it easy to stop, ask questions, and spend time with the products rather than simply moving from one presentation station to another.

That was important because UGREEN is entering a much broader category than the one most people traditionally associate with the company.

UGREEN has built a significant business around charging accessories, connectivity products, and storage. The company says it now has more than 300 million users across more than 180 countries and regions. Its expansion into AIoT represents a significant shift in how it wants those products to work together.

The stage presentation laid out that strategy before giving attendees a chance to experience it firsthand.

The Presentation: From Accessories to an AIoT Ecosystem

UGREEN’s presentation began by looking at the company’s growth and evolution, including its expansion into network-attached storage and AI-powered computing.

But the focus quickly moved to the home.

One of the more interesting ideas behind HomeAgent is that UGREEN believes cameras should be capable of doing more than recording problems. A security camera might tell you that someone entered your yard, but it could also recognize a moment worth remembering.

That distinction became important throughout the presentation.

HomeAgent is designed to serve as a local AI hub that brings together storage, computing, security, and control. Instead of sending everything to the cloud, the system is built around processing and storing much of that information locally.

The result is intended to be a smart home that can respond to what is happening without constantly relying on a remote server.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

UGREEN demonstrated HomeAgent interacting with cameras and other smart-home devices, including examples such as controlling lights and curtains, checking on pets, and searching through camera footage.

In one demonstration, the system was able to answer questions about where a pet had been and when it had appeared on camera. Another demonstration showed voice commands being used to control devices around the home.

The idea is less about having a collection of smart products and more about having a central system that understands those products.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

HomeAgent Is the Center of the System

UGREEN introduced three HomeAgent platforms.

The HA100 is positioned as the entry point to the HomeAgent experience, combining local storage, AI processing, security, and smart-home control in a single device.

The HA100 Pro takes that concept further with more powerful hardware and faster networking, targeting users who want to run more demanding AI workloads.

At the top of the range is the MasterAgent MA100, which UGREEN says is its first agentic AI local hub powered by NVIDIA Jetson Thor T5000 technology.

The hardware differences are substantial, but the larger story is what UGREEN wants these devices to become. Rather than another computer that happens to sit in the home, HomeAgent is intended to become the place where the home’s data and connected devices come together.

That is where the company’s AIoT strategy starts to become interesting.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

The Round Table: The Smart Home Should Not Feel Like Work

After the main presentation, UGREEN held a round-table discussion that moved away from individual products and toward some of the challenges that have prevented the smart home from becoming as seamless as companies have promised.

One of the biggest problems is fragmentation.

A typical smart home can easily turn into a collection of individual ecosystems. There may be one app for cameras, another for lighting, another for a thermostat, another for a door lock, and another for a robot vacuum.

Every device has its own account, setup process, interface, and way of communicating with the user.

For someone who enjoys technology, that may be manageable. For everyone else in the household, it can quickly become frustrating.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

The discussion emphasized the idea that smart-home technology should understand what the user is trying to accomplish rather than forcing the user to understand how every individual device works.

There was also considerable discussion about local AI. Processing information locally can reduce dependence on cloud services, improve responsiveness, and provide greater control over sensitive information. For a system dealing with cameras, family members, conversations, and activity inside the home, that distinction matters.

The discussion also touched on something that is easy to overlook when companies talk about smart-home technology: the person who has to make everything work.

In many households, there is one person who becomes the unofficial technology expert. That person sets everything up, connects the devices, fixes problems, explains how everything works, and often becomes the household help desk. A truly smart home should reduce that burden rather than increase it.

One of the most memorable ideas from the discussion was that technology should know when to appear and disappear.

That may be one of the most useful ways to think about UGREEN’s approach. The best smart-home technology should be visible when it is useful and almost invisible when it is not.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

Walking Into the Demo Area

After the presentation and round table, the event shifted from talking about the smart home to showing it.

The demo area was organized almost like a collection of rooms and experiences rather than a traditional product showroom.

HomeAgent devices were displayed along a side wall, where attendees could open the units and get a closer look at their internal storage configuration.

The HA100 units had three drive bays populated for the demonstration, with two labeled for storage and one labeled for surveillance. The MA100 demonstration unit had four drives, with three designated for storage and one for surveillance.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

There were also dedicated slots for AI acceleration hardware.

Visually, the HomeAgent devices reminded me of compact NAS systems, although their more vertical design gives them a different presence. The HA100 could also easily be mistaken for a small printer sitting in a home office.

But the most interesting part of the HomeAgent demonstration was not the hardware.

It was what was happening around it.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

A Smart Home You Can Walk Through

UGREEN created a miniature living environment for the demonstration, complete with a living room and nursery.

The nursery included a baby doll positioned in a crib. UGREEN representatives could trigger a simulated crying event, which HomeAgent could recognize. The system could then announce that the baby was crying through the connected smart-home system.

That demonstration illustrates an important difference between traditional security cameras and the type of system UGREEN is trying to build. The camera is not simply recording footage. The system is interpreting what it sees and turning that information into something useful.

The living room contained smart lighting and curtains that could also be controlled through HomeAgent. I saw those controls work earlier in the day, although my own attempt later in the event did not go as smoothly.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

A printed card beside the HA100 encouraged attendees to try several voice commands, including turning the living room light on or off and opening or closing the curtains.

When I tried the system myself, HomeAgent successfully recognized the “Hi Uliya” wake phrase. However, it was not able to complete the command I gave it and instead indicated that the requested function had not been programmed.

At another point, I was told that the curtain’s battery had been drained.

That experience is worth mentioning, but I would not consider it a failure of the product. This was a launch-event demonstration environment rather than a production HomeAgent system installed in a home for extended testing. More importantly, I had already seen the connected-home controls work earlier in the day.

For me, the experience reinforced how important the final software and setup experience will be. If HomeAgent can reliably make those interactions as simple as UGREEN demonstrated, the concept is compelling.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

From Security to Prevention

The outdoor camera demonstration offered another example of how UGREEN is approaching smart-home security. A small artificial pathway led toward a front door, with markers indicating the camera’s movement-detection area.

As someone crossed one of the marked areas, a recorded warning announced that the person was entering private property. Moving farther into the monitored area triggered an alarm, followed by another message indicating that a recording of the trespassing person had been sent.

I do not know whether those exact messages are customizable in the final product, but as a demonstration, they were effective.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

Instead of simply recording someone after they reached the property, the system was designed to recognize the movement and actively respond.

UGREEN’s SynCare camera lineup includes an indoor camera along with PoE and battery-powered outdoor cameras, giving the HomeAgent ecosystem multiple ways to bring visual information into the local AI system.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

The company’s larger goal is to have that information become useful beyond simple notifications. HomeAgent can recognize people, vehicles, pets, packages, and unusual activity, while AI Highlights are designed to identify meaningful moments in recorded footage and photo libraries.

That is where UGREEN’s original idea about cameras remembering the good things becomes more interesting. A camera could still tell you when something goes wrong. But it could also help surface the moments you actually want to remember.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

Gallery Looks Beyond Security

Another product that caught my attention in the demo area was the Gallery E-Paper Smart Frame. The frame itself looked lovely, although I did not get an opportunity to see the Gallery software in operation during the event.

The concept fits naturally with UGREEN’s broader vision. If HomeAgent can identify meaningful photographs and moments, having a dedicated display for those memories makes more sense than simply keeping them buried in a camera roll. Of course, the software experience will be critical.

There are already products designed to turn digital photos into something more like a traditional picture frame. If UGREEN can make Gallery intuitive and easy to use while integrating it directly with HomeAgent, it could offer a compelling alternative.

That will ultimately come down to how well the hardware and software work together.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

A Little Help From Bambu Lab

One of the more unexpected details in the demo area was a Bambu Lab 3D printer. UGREEN and Bambu Lab announced a new partnership centered around creating custom 3D-printed accessories and designs for UGREEN’s new products.

The partnership involves creators from Bambu Lab’s MakerWorld platform designing models inspired by UGREEN’s products. Penny Peng, a UGREEN PR Manager, introduced herself toward the end of the event when the crowd had thinned out, and we had an opportunity to talk about the partnership.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

She explained that the collaboration could result in practical and playful designs that work with UGREEN’s products, such as a small pet house or bed that can accommodate a camera or a custom case designed for the HA100.

It is a small detail compared with the larger HomeAgent announcement, but it reflects something interesting about UGREEN’s approach. The company is not only thinking about the hardware it sells. It is beginning to think about the ecosystem surrounding that hardware and how users might personalize it.

In the Middle of It All Was MagFlow

While HomeAgent was clearly the focus of the event, UGREEN also introduced a new generation of MagFlow charging products. The MagFlow lineup includes a magnetic power bank, a 3-in-1 desktop charging stand, and a foldable 2-in-1 wireless charger.

The charging products were positioned in a central kiosk with a two-sided table, making them easy to pick up and examine. That turned out to be particularly useful for me because my phone was nearly dead. My iPhone was at 1% when I put it on the UGREEN MagFlow Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand 25W. After approximately 10 minutes, the phone had reached 18%.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

That is obviously not a controlled charging test, but it was a convenient real-world demonstration during an event where I needed to keep my phone alive. I was also impressed by how quiet the charger was.

The MagFlow Pro uses active cooling, and I have another charging stand with a fan that works well but is noticeably loud. By comparison, the MagFlow Pro was remarkably quiet during my time with it. That alone made an impression on me.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

If a charging stand is sitting on a desk next to you all day, cooling performance is useful, but so is not having to listen to a fan constantly running. UGREEN says the MagFlow Pro 3-in-1 combines Qi2 25W magnetic charging with active cooling and can simultaneously charge an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods.

The new MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank takes the cooling concept into a portable form, while the MagFlow 2-in-1 Foldable Magnetic Wireless Charger is designed for travel and can also function as a magnetic phone stand.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

What the Event Says About UGREEN

Walking through the event, it became clear that UGREEN is trying to connect several parts of its business that previously felt more independent. Storage, charging, smart-home devices, cameras, displays, and AI are becoming pieces of a larger ecosystem. That is an ambitious direction.

The potential advantage is obvious. Instead of having a camera from one company, storage from another, lights from a third, and a collection of separate apps to manage everything, a local AI hub could become the central point through which those devices communicate.

Personally, that is one of the most appealing aspects of what UGREEN is proposing. I do not particularly like having a separate app for every smart-home product in my house. I want technology to make my life easier, not give me another collection of passwords, accounts, notifications, and interfaces to manage.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

If UGREEN can make HomeAgent actually unify the home in the way it demonstrated, that would be a significant improvement over the fragmented smart-home experience many people deal with today. But the word if is important.

The success of HomeAgent will depend on much more than powerful hardware. It will depend on interoperability, reliability, ease of setup, communication between devices, software updates, customer support, and how well the system handles the unexpected situations that inevitably occur in a real home. UGREEN appears to recognize that.

During the round-table discussion, a UGREEN user-group manager noted that communication with the company after initial setup is one of the complaints users have raised. Customer experience was identified as an area receiving significant attention.

That is encouraging because an ecosystem this ambitious will require more than good hardware. It needs to be easy to live with.

Final Thoughts

UGREEN’s Smart Living Launch Event was ultimately less about introducing a handful of individual products and more about showing where the company wants to go next.

HomeAgent is the centerpiece of that strategy, bringing together local storage, AI processing, cameras, smart-home controls, and personal data.

The most compelling part of the concept is not necessarily the ability to tell your lights to turn on with your voice. We already have products that can do that.

The more interesting question is whether HomeAgent can understand what is happening in the home and take useful action without requiring the user to constantly tell it what to do.

That is a much harder problem.

UGREEN SmarterLiving Launch

UGREEN is also making a deliberate argument for local AI, particularly when dealing with the intimate data generated inside a home. Keeping more processing and information local could address some of the privacy, latency, and cloud-dependency concerns that come with connected-home technology.

My hands-on experience at the event was limited, and the demonstration environment was not representative of a long-term home installation. I was able to see UGREEN successfully demonstrate several of HomeAgent’s capabilities, while my own attempt to control the living-room devices was limited by the demo setup.

That leaves plenty of questions for a full review once production hardware and software are available. Still, the direction is easy to understand. The smartest home may not be the one filled with the most devices. It may be the one where those devices finally stop feeling like separate products.

If UGREEN can make HomeAgent deliver on that promise, the company’s move from charging and storage into AIoT could become one of its most significant expansions yet. And perhaps the best smart-home experience is one where technology knows when to appear, when to disappear, and quietly makes life easier in between.
