TL;DR: Amazon just dropped a bunch of Fire tablet deals for kids and adults alike, but they're selling out fast.

Tablets are nearly as essential as smartphones in this day and age, but finding a good deal on one of these devices can be a challenge. Fortunately, if you're in the market for a new couch companion, you're in luck: Amazon is slashing prices on several models from its popular Fire line of tablets, including 50% off the Fire HD 10, which is my personal favorite.

Amazon Fire tablets aren't exactly beasts of performance, but they're great tools if you need a reliable device for streaming, casual gaming, or surfing the web. Indeed, these tablets are all about simplicity, with bright displays, great battery life, and an approachable price tag. What else could you need?

Amazon Fire HD 10 32GB: $154.99 $76.99 at Amazon

The Fire HD 10 is the Amazon tablet that I'd recommend for most people in 2026. The device boasts a lovely 10.1-inch 1080p display that's perfect for streaming and video calls, plus you get Dolby Atmos support with stereo speakers, expandable storage to 1TB, and up to 12 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Grab the Amazon Fire HD 10 with 32GB of onboard storage right now and you'll score a whopping 50% off your purchase. This particular model comes with lockscreen ads, but you can upgrade to the ad-free version (with 64GB of storage) for $119.99. View Deal

Amazon Fire HD 8 64GB: $129.99 $84.99 at Amazon

If you need something a bit smaller and more portable, the Amazon Fire HD 8 is a great choice. This tablet features an 8-inch HD display with an ultra-thin design, 64GB of onboard storage (expandable up to 1TB), and a 13-hour battery straight out of the box.

Grab the 64GB configuration with lockscreen ads and Amazon will knock a straight 35% off the purchase price. You can also order the ad-free version for a 31% discount. View Deal

Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Pro 64GB: $169.99 $94.99 at Amazon

The Fire HD 8 Kids Pro takes the foundation of the standard Amazon Fire HD 8 and adds a rugged, kid-friendly case, a bunch of customizable parental controls, and a six-month subscription to Amazon Kids Plus. Grab the 64GB version of the tablet and you'll score a straight 44% discount, no strings attached. View Deal

Which Amazon Fire tablet should you buy?

It depends on how you plan you use your tablet. If you need something compact and portable for road trips or long flights, look no further than the Fire HD 8. If, on the other hand, you enjoy large screens for streaming, gaming, or reading, the Amazon Fire HD 10 is likely the better choice.

Regardless of the cheap Android tablet you buy, you can rest easy knowing that you're getting an Amazon tablet with great battery life, fast performance, and a price that won't break your budget.

iQOO has revealed more details about its upcoming iQOO Pad Ultra, giving users a closer look at the tablet’s cooling system and gaming-focused accessories. The new compact tablet is expected to target users who want stronger performance in a smaller form factor.

According to the latest official teaser, the iQOO Pad Ultra will feature a built-in cooling fan designed to help manage heat during demanding workloads and extended gaming sessions. The fan measures just 30 × 30 × 3.5mm, while the cooling area reaches 1,661mm². It can spin at up to 14,500rpm and deliver a maximum airflow of 0.94 CFM.

iQOO Pad Ultra Gets Dedicated Gaming Accessories

iQOO is also preparing two gaming accessories for the Pad Ultra: a telescopic game controller and a rear grip attachment.

The telescopic controller is designed to turn the compact tablet into a more console-like gaming setup. It features a dedicated USB-C port, micro-switch buttons and Hall-effect joysticks, which should provide more precise control and a more responsive feel during gameplay.

The rear grip takes a different approach. Rather than adding traditional controls, it is designed to improve the way users hold the tablet. This could make longer gaming sessions more comfortable by providing additional support for the hands.

8.8-Inch OLED Display and High-End Hardware

iQOO has already confirmed that the device will officially carry the iQOO Pad Ultra name. The company is expected to launch it alongside the iQOO 16 series toward the end of September.

Previous reports suggest that the tablet could feature an 8.8-inch OLED display with a centered punch-hole camera and four narrow bezels. Its rear design is also expected to include a square-shaped camera module and an integrated air outlet for the internal cooling system.

The tablet is rumored to use a 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen6 processor, positioning it as a high-performance compact tablet aimed at demanding users and mobile gamers. It may also pack a 9,000mAh-class battery, offering a relatively large capacity for an 8.8-inch device.

The reported color options include Endless Black and Star Armor Silver.

A Compact Tablet Designed for Gaming

With an active cooling fan, high-end hardware and dedicated gaming accessories, the iQOO Pad Ultra appears to be taking a different approach from conventional small tablets. Instead of focusing solely on portability, iQOO seems to be building the device around sustained performance and gaming.

More official details, including the final specifications, pricing and availability, should become clearer when iQOO officially introduces the Pad Ultra later this month.

A bunch of upcoming Apple device identifiers have been found on Apple’s backend. Interestingly, there are 7 iPhone models listed. We only know of 6.

iPhone19,1
iPhone19,2
iPhone19,3
iPhone19,4
iPhone19,5
iPhone19,6
iPhone19,7

Mac17,10
Mac17,11
Mac17,12
Mac17,13
Mac18,1
Mac18,2…

— Aaron (@aaronp613) September 8, 2026
