We’re seeing good early Prime Day deals ahead of the event next week, and unsurprisingly, some of the best deals are on Amazon’s own devices. Several Echo speakers have dropped to new low prices, including the Echo Dot Max, which is on sale for $64.99 ($35 off) at Amazon.
Our smart home reviewer Jennifer Pattison Tuohy named the Echo Max her top pick among Alexa speakers, calling it “Amazon’s best all-around smart speaker.” The elegant, fabric-wrapped speaker delivers plenty of bass, and comes with its own dedicated tweeter and woofer that provide crisper sound than its predecessor. It’s also faster and more responsive, with Amazon’s AZ3 Neural Edge processor helping it hear voice commands more accurately, even if you’re speaking from across the room or over background noise.
The Echo Max also doubles as a capable smart home hub with support for Zigbee, Matter, and Thread, allowing you to connect and control a wide range of compatible smart home devices from brands beyond Amazon. It also supports Alexa Plus, Amazon’s more context-aware AI-powered voice assistant, which can handle multiple requests at once. That means you can do things like dim the lights and lock the doors without having to issue separate commands. In our reviewer’s testing, Alexa was even able to turn off the hallway lights, adjust the upstairs thermostat, and start a robot vacuum in the kitchen all at once.
Amazon’s Prime Day is one of the biggest shopping events of the year, and the four-day sale for 2026 begins June 23rd at 3:01AM ET and ends at the same time on June 27th. It will grant Prime members access to some of the best prices of the year on Amazon devices, as well as those from Sony, Sonos, Bose, Anker, Apple, and other well-known (and lesser-known) brands we cover at The Verge.
As always, you can count on us to publish only the best deals from Amazon — as well as any worthwhile ones featured at Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and other competing retailers. That said, if you want to be sure you catch any and all deals that are most important to you, we’ve compiled some helpful tools and advice.
Below, we’ve spilled a few of our best deal-hunting tips, from how to use automated price trackers to the different ways you can set up your own personalized deal alerts. All of these methods and tools are free to use, and once you put in just a little bit of work, you can rest easy knowing that you don’t need to take much action until it comes time to make a purchase.
CamelCamelCamel tracks the price of every product sold on Amazon and can send you alerts only when they reach the price that’s right for you. Once a product reaches the desired price you’ve set (or goes below it), you’ll get an email about it. CamelCamelCamel only works for products on Amazon, so you’ll need to use one of the other methods below if you want to track price movement at Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and other retailers.
To track prices and get alerts via email, you’ll first need to create a free account. We also suggest installing the site’s browser extension, called The Camelizer, which lets you see pricing trends on a product-by-product basis, and allows you to set your desired price without navigating away from Amazon. It’s fantastic and easy to use.
And, if you already have a wishlist saved on Amazon, you can import it into CamelCamelCamel.
The developers also make Camelmart, which is its price tracker for Walmart. It’s just as good as its Amazon-exclusive tracker, which is nice if you prefer shopping at Walmart, or just want to track prices. You can find and save items you want to keep tabs on, view its pricing history, and set a price alert that’ll ping your email so you can quickly make a purchase. There currently isn’t a browser extension you can use alongside shopping at Walmart, but our fingers are crossed that one gets made.
Slickdealsaggregates some of the best deals around the internet, as discovered by its team and community of users. It’s a great place to find a curated set of deals on things you might be interested in. The site also allows you to create deal alerts based on keywords, but they work a little differently on Slickdealsthan they do on the above sites.
You can type in a product name, like “Sonos Era 100” or a retailer’s name, and once it’s added to your list, you’ll be notified of a deal alert if it meets your criteria. You can set it to alert you to any deal related to your keyword, or you can filter out deals so that you’ll be notified if, for example, the deal is popular enough to make it to Slickdeals’ front page or has earned a high rating from the community. Setting these keywords a little too broadly may result in frequent notification pings and emails, though, so you’ll need to use some discretion and find the right balance of how aggressively you want Slickdeals to notify you.
Keepa is another handy tool you can use to track and compare Amazon prices over time. Like CamelCamelCamel, Keepa provides charts that track pricing trends and will alert you when it finds a deal. You can also import any wishlists you’ve previously saved on Amazon.
Unlike CamelCamelCamel, however, you don’t necessarily need to create an account in order to track prices with Keepa. You just need to install the extension, and Keepa will automatically add a price history graph to supported product listings. The embedded extension features different tabs as well, one of which showcases pricing history and another that allows you to specify various pricing details. Once you’ve set your desired price, you’ll then receive price alerts via email, push notification, or RSS.
Alexa for Shopping
Amazon’s “Alexa for shopping” tool will show you pricing history for most products, and let you set a price alert. If you’re using a desktop or laptop computer, you can access the feature by clicking “Price history” next to the price listed in the middle of the product page. You may also be able to find a button for it in the main nav bar of Amazon’s homepage.
However you access it, Alexa for Shopping will summon a widget that can show you price history for product, which can be toggled up to a year ago. There is also an option in the widget to let you set a price alert. It will likely offer some price suggestions based on data, but you can type in your desired price. You’ll receive a deal alert to the email address associated with Amazon if the price drops accordingly. You can also set the tool to automatically buy the product if it drops to a certain price.
Set up deal alert notifications through Alexa or the Amazon app
If you’re a Prime member who owns a fourth-gen Echo speaker or a newer model, you can also request that Amazon send you deal notifications up to 24 hours ahead of time on products you’re interested in. Amazon can alert you to price drops on eligible products in your shopping cart or wishlist, as well as anything you’ve marked as “saved for later.” To enable the feature, tap More > Settings > Notifications in the Alexa app, and then tap Amazon Shopping. Then, scroll down to Shopping Recommendations and enable Deal Recommendations. Once done, you’ll receive a notification on both your device and your Echo speaker (the latter in the form of a yellow ring) notifying you of the deal.
Alternatively, you can sign up to receive deal alerts regarding products you’ve recently viewed in the Amazon Shopping app, as well as those related to your recent search history. If you’re a Prime member, you just need to navigate to the Prime Day event page in the mobile app between now and Wednesday, October 8th, to create an alert. Once done, you’ll receive push notifications for any deal(s) you’ve subscribed to when the event begins. You can also just open the Amazon Shopping app and tap Settings > Notifications > Deals and Recommendations before toggling “Savings” and / or “Recommendations.”
Look for deals outside of Amazon
Prime Day is meant to show off Amazon’s huge retail presence, so, naturally, other retail chains take notice. Because of this, you can sometimes find better deals at retailers like Target, Walmart, and Best Buy. At the very least, they may be able to match Amazon’s pricing if you ask.
If Amazon’s upcoming sale doesn’t have everything you want, or if you just want to make sure you’re getting the best deal, shop around a bit. For example, Walmart will soon host a Walmart Deals event from June 22nd through June 28th. Target is getting in on the deals, too, with Target Circle Deal Days happening the same span of time as Prime Day. Lastly, Best Buy is hosting its Tech Fest sale from June 22nd through June 29th. And as usual, you’ll be able to find all of our deals coverage in and outside of Amazon here.
Trust the experts
We’re a discerning bunch here at The Verge, so don’t fret if you’re going into this without any prep. We’ll be corralling the best tech deals and keeping our coverage up to date in the run-up to the main event this week. So mark June 23rd on your calendar, sign up for Amazon Prime and our Verge Shopping newsletters, and maybe start putting aside a little spending cash.

Amazon’s Prime Day is now in its second day, and whether you’re looking for a new pair of wireless earbuds or a smartwatch, there’s a good chance you’ll find a discount. The Apple Watch Series 11 has already dropped to a new low price, while the AirPods Pro 3 are discounted to $179. With Tim Cook warning that price hikes are coming, now may be the moment if you’ve been eying one of the company’s devices.
Below are the best Apple deals currently available. Some are exclusive to Prime Day, while others are simply great discounts we think are worth highlighting. We’ll continue updating this guide throughout Prime Day, highlighting more deals as they become available.
Earbud and headphone deals
AirPods Pro 3
The latest AirPods Pro offer improved noise cancellation and richer bass, along with built-in heart sensors that work with Apple’s Fitness app to monitor calories burned across more than 50 workouts. Read our review.
The AirPods 4 are on sale at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy for $99 ($30 off). Apple’s entry-level earbuds offer richer bass than previous generations along with a more robust IP54 rating for water and dust resistance. They match the latest AirPods Pro in voice call quality and work well with other Apple devices too, though they lack more advanced features like active noise cancellation. It might be a pro or con to some that this model simply rests in your ear. They don’t create a tight seal like the AirPods Pro.
The AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation and wireless charging are also on sale at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy for $148.99 ($30 off). It’s a solid deal, but given the AirPods Pro 3 are currently available for about $30 or so more, we’d recommend buying those instead. They drown out noise better and offer additional features like a heart rate sensor that justify the small price difference. Read our review.
AirPods Max 2
Apple’s over-ears retain the premium design of the original while delivering improved sound quality and better noise cancellation. They also sport Apple’s H2 chip, which enables newer features like live translation. Read our review.
The Beats Powerbeats Fitare on sale for $159.95 ($40 off) at Amazon and Best Buy, which is $20 shy of their all-time low and their second-best price to date. The Beats Fit Pro successor also features a redesigned wingtip with built-in silicone fins and ear tips that are designed to provide a more secure fit during workouts than traditional earbuds.
The Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 are on sale for $179.95 ($90 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart, which is also $20 shy of their all-time low price. Their ear-hook design helps keep them securely in place, while Apple’s H2 chip grants access to AirPods Pro features like Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, and better noise cancellation than you’ll get with the Powerbeats Fit. Plus, unlike the Fit, they support wireless charging. Read our review.
Beats Studio Pro
The latest Beats Studio Pro feature improved noise cancellation, sound quality, and comfort. They also support lossless audio over USB-C and offer native support for a range of iOS and Android features like other Beats headphones. Read our review.
The Beats Solo 4 have dropped to $99.95 ($100 off) at Amazon and Walmart, which is $10 more than their all-time low we saw last year. The wireless headphones offer a noticeable step up in performance from the Beats Solo 3, delivering more detailed sound and support for lossless audio over the included USB-C or 3.5mm cable. They also provide up to 50 hours of battery life, plus comfortable memory foam ear cushions, though they don’t include active noise cancellation. Read our review.
You can buy the Beats Studio Buds Plus on sale for $89.95 ($80 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target, which is one of their better prices to date. The wireless earbuds offer good active noise cancellation along with four swappable ear tips for a comfortable, secure fit (though perhaps not as secure as the Powerbeats Pro 2). They also sport a slick translucent colorway and can last up to 27 hours on a single charge. Read our review.

iPad deals

Apple-s entry-level stylus attaches magnetically on supported iPads, though it doesn’t support magnetic charging. Instead, you pair and charge it by connecting it to your device’s USB-C port. it comes with features like tilt sensitivity and Apple Pencil Hover support, but it doesn’t support double-tap gestures and pressure sensitivity.
Apple’s latest AirTag features an upgraded ultra-wideband chip for more precise location tracking, a noticeably louder speaker, and an expanded Bluetooth range. Read our review.
You can buy a pack of four first-generation AirTags on sale for $69.99 at Woot, which isn’t the lowest price we’ve seen but still a decent $30 discount off the original price. The last-gen AirTags aren’t as precise as the newer model and don’t feature as loud of a built-in speaker, but they still offer more impressive item tracking than other competitors when paired with an iPhone. Read our review.
The 13-inch MacBook Air is available with an M5 chip, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD for $949.99 ($149 off) at Amazon, which is $50 shy of its all-time low price. The 15-inch model, meanwhile, is also on sale at Amazon and Best Buy for $1,149, which is also $50 more than its record low. Both laptops deliver excellent everyday performance, with SSD read and write speeds that rival the M5-powered MacBook Pro, along with long battery life, a comfortable keyboard, and support for Wi-Fi 7. Read our review.
The Apple Magic Mouse is on sale for $59.99 ($19 off) at Amazon, which is a new low price. The wireless mouse features a multi-touch surface for gestures like scrolling and swiping between web pages, and a battery that lasts about a month on a single charge. It also pairs automatically with compatible Macs and charges via USB-C.
Update, June 24th: Adjusted prices and availability.
Built-in television speakers are almost always underwhelming, so getting a soundbar is the best way to elevate any and all content. If you want to get the most for your money, Amazon’s Fire TV Soundbar Plus with a subwoofer and satellite speakers provide a bigger sound than a standalone soundbar like a Sonos Beam. Ahead of Prime Day, the system dropped to $380 (previously $490). That’s the lowest price we’ve seen on the 5.1-channel kit.
Amazon Fire TV Plus Soundbar
Amazon’s Fire TV Soundbar Plus is a surprisingly robust audio system for its price. The soundbar comes with a wireless subwoofer and rear speakers, and can decode both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround sound audio streams. It also has Bluetooth built in, so you can use it as a wireless speaker regardless of what type of device you have.
The soundbar supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for spatial audio (though, it lacks upward-firing speakers that make spatial audio more noticeable), and features three full-range speakers, three tweeters, two subwoofers, and a center channel designed for clear dialogue. It features optical audio, plus an HDMI eARC port that communicates with compatible televisions for simple, unified controls.
The subwoofer and satellite speakers wirelessly connect to the soundbar, unlike some similarly-priced systems that have wired satellites. The Fire TV Soundbar Plus offers four equalizer profiles to suit different content needs: movie, music, sports, and night mode, the last of which minimizes bass and makes dialogue sharper. Beyond using the soundbar with your TV, you can also play music from your mobile devices with its Bluetooth support.

Amazon’s earlier-than-usual Prime Day doesn’t begin until June 23rd, but there are several even earlier deals on must-have products that you can check out right now. To name some examples, Apple’s AirPods Pro 3 are selling at their cheapest-ever price at Amazon and Walmart (though, the sale keeps playing peek-a-boo). Also, you can grab Ring’s latest battery-powered doorbell for $60 off and it includes a free Indoor Cam Plus with purchase. There are also enough early Apple deals and discounts on fantastic robovacs that we’ve spun up coverage ahead of next week.
While the pre-Prime Daydeals are looking good so far, you may not see the brands or products you’re looking for — hopefully, those deals will come later in June. Still, we’ve only included early deals that meet the criteria we hold for all our commerce coverage: they’re good products sold at attractive prices.
We’ll update this post frequently ahead of Prime Day.
Headphone / earbud deals
Apple’s AirPods Pro 3 have been available at their lowest price to date for the past week or so. Originally $249, the noise-canceling, wireless earbuds are $179 at Amazon and Best Buy — no membership required. Walmart has a product page that lists $169 as a sale price, though it’s out of stock at the time of publication. The AirPods Pro 3 are the latest earbuds from Apple, packing better bass and active noise cancellation than their predecessor, plus the ability to do some light fitness tracking, among other niceties. Read our review.
Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones (second-gen)
The latest over-ear, noise-canceling headphones from Bose offer longer battery life over ANC, plus lossless audio support via USB-C.
The AirPods 4 on sale at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy for $99 ($30 off).
Smart home deals
Govee Outdoor Lamp Post
A 8-foot-tall, 2,000-lumen RGBIC smart outdoor lamp. The model has six color zones and dedicated white lighting. It features built-in motion and light sensors, works with Matter, is IP66 rated, and includes a long power cord for easy installation.
The 8-piece and 14-piece Ring Alarm Pro home security systems have gotten big discounts ahead of Prime Day. The smaller kit of the two is $209.99 ($90 off) and includes a base station (it doubles as a eero 6 Wi-Fi router), a keypad, four contact sensors for doors or windows, a motion detector, and a range extender for the alarm. The 14-piece set doubles the keypads, contact sensors, and motion detectors. Both include a 30-day trial to Ring Protect plan, which will cost $19.99 per month after the trial.
Govee Table Lamp Classic
Sometimes, you don’t need a bright light. You just need a capable, portable light source. Govee’s Table Lamp has adjustable color temperature, not to mention customizable colors and brightness levels.
In addition the Echo Dot Max linked right above, Amazon has switched on several deals for its latest smart speakers and displays. The Echo Show 8 is down to $124.99 (originally $180) at Amazon, and the bigger Echo Show 11 is just a little more, costing $149.99 (down from $219.99) at Amazon. If you want bigger sound than the Echo Dot Max can provide, the Echo Studio is your best bet, costing $174.99 (originally $219.99) at Amazon — its best price yet. Finally, Amazon’s Echo Spot that’s great for nightstands is down to $44.99 from $80 at Amazon.
Ring Battery Doorbell Plus (second-gen)
The 2026 doorbell offers 2K video and 6x zoom, plus a removable battery. It supports Ring’s Retinal Vision, which uses AI to improve footage quality.
Fitbit’s Charge 6 fitness tracker has dropped to its lowest price yet at Amazon, costing $79.99 (originally $159.99, but usually around $100). It’s a solid alternative to Google’s $99 and screenless Fitbit Air. The 2023 Charge 6 features an OLED screen, a haptics-based button, plus the ability to ping you with notifications. Read our review.
Apple Watch Series 11
Although the Apple Watch Series 11 is the same size as its predecessor, it features a 5G cellular modem, a display that Apple claims is twice as durable, and slightly improved battery life. Read our review.
The MX Master 3S is a favorite among many Verge staff members because of its comfort and customization. It can connect via Bluetooth, via its included 2.4GHz receiver, or wired with its USB-C cable.
While not a gadget deal, Walmart is offering a big discount on annual subscriptions to its Walmart Plus service. Originally $98, it’s $49 for a year, which includes early access to its own Prime Day-equivalent sale, not to mention free shipping on order $35 and up, and a host of other benefits.
The Baseus AM52 10,000mAh power bank that can deliver Qi2.2 25W wireless charging speeds is cheaper than ever for Verge readers. Through June 30th, you can head over to Amazon and use the code THEVERGECODE to nab one for $42.99 — considerably cheaper than the $63.99 price that Prime members have access to. Read about the AM52’s performance here.
Lego Ideas – Van Gogh “Starry Night” set
You and a pal can probably assemble the 2,316-piece set of Starry Night in a couple of days. Sure, it’s said that it took Van Gogh just as long to paint the masterpiece, but we can’t all be artistic geniuses.
Amazon’s Fire 7 Kids tablet is steeply discounted ahead of Prime Day. The 32GB tablet that includes a bumper case, one year of access to a suite of kid-friendly content, and a two-year hardware warranty is down to $64.99 at Amazon (originally $129.99). There’s nothing spectacular about the specs, but it’s a good-enough tablet to withstand whatever your kiddo does to it. The two-year warranty is “worry-free,” which Amazon defines as “if it breaks, we will replace it.” The 16GB version is $54.99.
Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Essentials Bundle
You can get a huge discount on the 16GB Colorsoft that includes a leather cover and a power adapter.
While Amazon’s latest 16GB Kindle Paperwhite typically costs $159.99 on its own, there’s now a fantastic deal happening on the 32GB Signature Edition tablet that supports wireless charging. A $154.98 bundle that also includes a metallic jade cover and a Kindle-branded, cream-colored sling bag is available now at Amazon.
Gaming deals
For a limited time, you can get a $15 promotional gift card when you buy a $100 Newegg gift card. It’s always nice to get a little more for your money, especially if you plan to buy pricey PC components, be it RAM, an SSD, or a graphics card.
Through June 19th (or until supplies last), Woot is offering new customers a small, but welcome $15 discount on the Nintendo Switch 2 console. The $449.99 device drops to $434 with the code NEW15 used at checkout. I know, I know — it’s not much. It may not even cover sales tax associated with the purchase, but a deal’s a deal.
Home entertainment deals
Amazon’s Fire TV Soundbar Plus that also includes a wireless subwoofer and two satellite speakers is down to $379.99 (originally $489.99), it’s best price to date. It’s a solid sound system if you don’t want to spend a bunch of money. The soundbar supports HDMI eARC and optical audio for inputs, and it can connect to devices via Bluetooth. My interest in this model has been piqued ever since RTINGS named it one of its favorite budget-friendly soundbars.
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Select
The 4K Select isn’t Amazon’s most feature-rich nor its zippiest streaming stick. However, it’s one of the best 4K-ready options that you can get for under $20 while it’s on sale.
Marshall has knocked down prices for some of its home audio products, including its amp-inspired Acton III plug-in speaker. Originally $299.99 (though frequently $200 or so), it’s down to $179.99 in all colorways at Amazon. The Stanmore III that’s bigger and even more powerful, with RCA inputs for plugging in a record player, is $249.99 at Amazon. It’s a much bigger price drop for this one, considering it typically sells for around $300.
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023)
Amazon’s most capable streaming stick is faster than its predecessor with Wi-Fi 6E and double the storage. It also now displays widgets and artwork when idle while continuing to offer Alexa integration. Read our review.
Nothing is more frustrating than buying a new pair of headphones, an OLED TV, or a laptop just to find out that you could have gotten it for cheaper somewhere else just a few days or weeks later. That’s why, in order to keep customers happy and prevent them from shopping elsewhere, some retailers offer price-matching policies in which they promise to match a lower price found elsewhere. That kind of information comes in handy no matter the time of year, but it’s especially helpful during shopping events like Amazon’s Prime Day 2026 sale, which kicks off June 23rd and lasts through June 26th.
What follows are the price-matching policies for a number of major retailers. There are a few things to note here. First, every retailer has its own set of rules and restrictions. We’ve summarized some of them here, but we recommend visiting the provided links and reading the policies carefully. Second, most retailers that serve as a marketplace for other sellers, specifically wholesale retailers like Costco and Sam’s Club, don’t offer any protections, and many traditional stores won’t match their prices.
Lastly, there are always exceptions to the rules. If you’re looking for a deal on a product and you know it’s available for a lower price elsewhere (or it was previously offered at the same retailer), it never hurts to call or chat with a customer service rep and ask if they’ll match the price. You have nothing to lose but time, and there’s always a chance they may find a loophole or make a special exception.
Amazon doesn’t offer price matching. Full stop. You can contact customer support, but even if you’re an Amazon Prime customer, it’s not likely that they’ll help you out.
That being said, Amazon does offer a liberal return policy, meaning you can often return an item you purchased from Amazon if it’s available for less elsewhere (or at Amazon). Then, you can just repurchase the product wherever it’s cheapest.
Target used to let shoppers price match identical items sold by select retailers, including Amazon, but no longer does so. Under its current policy, shoppers can only request a price adjustment if they find an identical qualifying item for less than they paid on Target.com, at their local Target store, or through an eligible Target Circle deal. Target will also price match Target Plus Partner (the retailer’s name for third-party sellers) items if the same Target Plus Partner on Target.com has it for less, or with a Target Circle deal. Price matches can be requested at the time of purchase or within 14 days after purchase.
To request a price match, you’ll need to show the online price or digital version of the ad and provide your original receipt or packing slip; screenshots and photos aren’t accepted. Alternatively, you can call for online purchases at 1-800-591-3869 or chat online via contactus.target.com.
However, that Target’s policy excludes in-store price matches from other Target stores. It also can’t be combined with Target Circle Bonuses, Target coupons, Registry coupons, or gift card promotions, and doesn’t apply to clearance, closeout, liquidation, damaged, used, open-box, refurbished, pre-owned, or rent-to-own items. In addition, Target won’t match prices between items sold directly by Target and those sold by third-party Target Plus Partner sellers.
Best Buy’s Price Match Guarantee states that a product could be eligible for a price reduction if it’s new, identical to the competitor’s product, immediately available at a qualifying competitor’s store or on its site, and not shown on Best Buy’s exclusion list — that includes “items for sale the Thursday before Thanksgiving Day through the Monday after Thanksgiving.” Items must have the identical model number and color. However, disclaimer here: Best Buy only matches prices that are available to all customers and does not match membership-exclusive, loyalty-program, or paid-member discounts, thus it excludes events like Amazon Prime Day.
To get the difference, you have to contact Best Buy via its on-site chat and provide the ad or website with a lower price point. Alternatively, you can call 1-888-237-8289 or visit any Best Buy or Pacific Sales store. Approved retailers include Amazon, B&H Photo, Apple, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target, and Walmart. Items must be sold directly through the store, too, not a third-party seller.
Walmart doesn’t price-match competitors, though Walmart’s online store offers price matching on items purchased from Walmart stores if the item is in stock at Walmart.com.
However, the policy doesn’t apply to residents of Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico. Additionally, it doesn’t apply to special event prices, like those seen during Black Friday. Walmart also does not retroactively price-match items purchased on Walmart.com that have dropped in price after the time of purchase. The retailer doesn’t price-match items purchased from Walmart Marketplace retailers or third-party sellers, either, and Walmart says the ultimate decision for a price match comes down to the store manager on duty when you make the request.
While we’ve seen claims that Apple will price-match up to 10 percent on products bought at certain major retailers, there is no official policy on the company’s website.
If Apple reduces the price of an Apple-branded product within 14 days of when you receive it, you can visit an Apple Store or contact Apple Support at 1-800-MY-APPLE to request a refund or credit for the difference. However, this doesn’t apply to special promotional pricing, such as Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals.
B&H says that it might be able to honor a current lower price or match the price of a competitor, but it does so on a case-by-case basis. You have to contact its customer service team using the on-site chat, email, or by calling 1-800-606-6969 / 1-212-444-6615. If approved, B&H Photo will price match one identical item per customer.
Costco does not price match with competitors. However, according to its website, it will issue a credit for the difference between the price a member paid and the promotional price if you bought the item online at Costco and requested the credit up to 30 days before the price change. If you bought the product from a Costco warehouse location, visit the membership counter at the store where you made the purchase. Costco doesn’t price-match items purchased at Costco warehouses with items purchased on Costco.com.
Dell will price-match identical products from Dell, Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, HP, Apple, Lenovo, and several other retailers. Dell will not match prices available at Costco or Sam’s Club. You can call 1-877-275-3355 or chat online to run a price check, but you’ll need to provide a link to the competitor’s product. Dell outlines the specs you’ll need to compare to determine whether an item is eligible for a price match before you contact them, and before you make a purchase.
You can also contact the company about a price difference within 30 days of purchase. However, Dell doesn’t match membership-only pricing or the exclusive discounts you’ll find during Amazon Prime Day. Items that are discounted as a Deal of the Week or Daily Deals through Dell’s Member Purchase Program are also ineligible.
eBay doesn’t offer price matching on purchases made during the week of Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday, but it does provide a generous price guarantee on select items outside that window. If you buy an item marked with the “Best Price Guarantee” badge — or one featured in eBay Deals — and find a lower price from an approved competitor within 48 hours, eBay will give you 110 percent of the price difference in the form of a coupon. That means you’ll receive a coupon worth the full difference plus an extra 10 percent, which you can use toward your next eBay purchase. Approved competitors include Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart.
The products must be new, unopened, and identical to the competitor’s item. You have to contact eBay Customer Service, and if they verify your claims are legitimate, you will receive the coupon and be able to use it toward your next eBay purchase. Only one item can be price-matched per day, however.
GameStop does not mention an official price-matching policy on its website. In 2022, however, GameStop tweeted that the store will price-match items sold and shipped by Amazon as long as they’re available online or in-store. Although GameStop only mentioned Amazon in the tweet, others have reported that the store will price-match items purchased from Target and elsewhere.
If a request is made within the standard return period, Google will match online pricing from select retailers — specifically Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, B&H Photo, Signifi, and Target. It doesn’t, however, match preorder pricing from other retailers or carrier deals. The product must also be in stock and identical, right down to the color and configuration. Plus, you need to provide a public link to the promo page or product listing to verify the lower price, and that item must be currently in stock. Items sold by third-party sellers are ineligible for a price match.
Amazon Prime deals are eligible for price matching, but other members-only discounts aren’t. Other exclusions apply, too, including wholesale and educational pricing; mail-in offers and coupons; product bundles; clearance, open-box, refurbished, and pre-owned items; and products sold by third-party sellers on a competitor’s website. Google will only provide a price match on smartphones and other products with data plans if they’re unlocked devices.
You may also receive the difference if the product you purchased from the Google Store drops in price within the standard return period, though you’ll need to contact Google directly to get the price match or correction.
The Home Depot will match the price of identical, in-stock products from other retailers, except for membership-based wholesalers. The retailer must be able to ship the item to your location, so prices from regional retailers are ineligible. The price-match policy does not apply to special events like Black Friday, clearance prices, used and refurbished items, or rebate offers. You may request a price match within 30 days of your purchase.
You must bring the ad or listing to the register in-store. (You can also request price matches for online purchases that are shipped to the customer.) For online orders, you’ll need to provide the exact SKU for the item on both the competitor’s and The Home Depot’s sites. To request a price match over the phone, you can call 1-800-430-3376. Additionally, The Home Depot will only honor requests submitted by the original buyer.
According to HP’s website, the company will match the current pretax price for new comparable PCs and identical HP printer, display, and accessory model numbers from nationally recognized online retailers, such as Dell, Lenovo, Amazon, Staples, Newegg, and Best Buy. The specs have to be the same to get a price match on PCs, but the product model number does not need to be identical.
You must ask for the match at the time of purchase by calling1-800-888-0229 or via chat. You can’t request a price match via email, and the policy doesn’t apply to items purchased during promotional periods. It also doesn’t apply to membership stores like Costco and Sam’s Club, items purchased through a third-party vendor on an approved site, or items purchased using financing.
HP also offers price protection on HP-branded products. If a price drops during your 30-day return window, you can request an adjustment by emailing myhpsales@hp.com. This doesn’t apply to products purchased during certain seasonal sales events, including Fourth of July promotions and deals offered during Thanksgiving Week and Cyber Week.
Lenovo matches pricing on comparable PCs from Lenovo, HP, or Dell with the same key specs as long as they’re sold through a list of recognized retailers. That list includes bigger stores such as Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Newegg, and B&H Photo, as well as direct competitors such as Dell and HP. The comparable PC must also be in stock and readily available from both Lenovo and the competing retailer, and you have to contact a Lenovo sales rep with specific details about the specs and availability of the product you’re inquiring about in order to facilitate the match.
That said, you can’t use coupons or special discounts when requesting a price match, and the policy doesn’t apply to membership stores like Costco. The policy also doesn’t apply to “Marketplace” items where third parties fulfill the order, so double-check that you bought the product directly from the retailer. Build-your-own models are also ineligible for a price match. Lenovo’s separate Price Guarantee program, meanwhile, is limited to five eligible Lenovo products per customer per year.
Lenovo also offers a price guarantee refund for laptops and personal desktop computers bought from Lenovo.com within 30 days of purchase. To receive a refund, you must contact Customer Care and provide proof of the lower price for the identical product offered on Lenovo.com. This policy doesn’t apply to doorbuster or clearance products, however.
Lowe’s will match the price of identical, in-stock products when you present an ad, product listing, or photo from a qualifying online or local retailer, including Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The product must be purchased directly from the retailer and not a third-party seller, however, and it doesn’t apply to special sales events like Black Friday and other holiday promotions.
Additionally, Lowe’s doesn’t match prices from one Lowe’s store to another, nor does it match any rebate discounts or those available only to a select group of customers (such as loyalty clubs). Clearance, seasonal, buy one get one free, and custom made items are also ineligible for a price match. To request a price match, you can head to the store, call 1-877-465-6937, or chat online.
Microsoft will refund you the difference if it drops the price of an in-stock physical product purchased online from the Microsoft Store within 60 days of your purchase being delivered. The same policy also applies if you find the identical product on sale at a lower price at a qualifying retailer such as Amazon or Best Buy, though it doesn’t extend to the Surface Hub, HoloLens, Windows DevKits, or digital products.
Furthermore, some eligible products are subject to specific retailer exclusions. For example, price matches for Surface products at other retailers are limited to Amazon and Best Buy, while Xbox products are limited to the two aforementioned retailers as well as Target, GameStop, and Walmart. The price match policy excludes products from third-party sellers, clearance items, bundles, rebates, and prices only available after guests log in.
You’ll need to contact Microsoft’s Sales and Support team at 1-800-642-7676 within 60 days of delivery to request a refund. If you purchase an item from a Microsoft Experience Center, you’ll need to return to that location with your receipt. In both instances, Microsoft will credit the difference between the price you paid and the current lower price to your original payment method, which typically takes between three and five days to process.
Newegg no longer matches prices from competing retailers. The company only price matches eligible items sold and shipped by Newegg (not third-party sellers), and the product must be identical. The lower price must also appear on Newegg.com within seven calendar days of your purchase. If approved, Newegg will issue the difference as credit that can be used on the site or app for up to 365 days.
The match won’t apply to rebates, coupons, financing offers, bundles, clearance items, open-box and refurbished products. The policy also doesn’t apply to prices found at third-party marketplace sellers, or products on sale during major sales events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Amazon Prime Day 2026 is getting closer, and it’s possible you might have some questions about the sale. When does it start? Why is it in June instead of July? And, most importantly, when will the deals go live? We have concrete answers to those questions, and we’ll have a lot more Prime Day coverage coming soon as Amazon rolls out more deals.
When does Prime Day start?
Amazon Prime Day 2026 officially starts on June 23rd, 2026 at 12:01AM PT, and ends on June 27, 2026 at 12:01AM PT. Some items will stay discounted for the entire period, or at least for as long as they remain in stock, while others will only run for a shorter chunk of the four day sale. In its article about Prime Day 2026 timing, Amazon noted that special deals will go live at 12AM, 8AM, and 1PM PT each day throughout the sale.
Why is Prime Day in June this year?
While there have been exceptions, Prime Day has historically occurred in July. So, what’s up with the recent change? Amazon’s Jamil Ghani told Reutersthat the decision came down to some big events overlapping with its usual July launch. “This year, we have the (FIFA) World Cup […] We’ve got also the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, and so we thought this week (beginning June 22) was the best week for us to hold Prime Day,” Ghani said.
When do early Prime Day deals start?
The rollout of early deals is already underway, and Amazon is highlighting deals on household essentials and Amazon devices like Kindle accessories and Ring cameras. It’s safe to assume that there will be several dozen deals available ahead of Prime Day, and we’ll be bringing them to you, so stay tuned.
Do I need to be a Prime member to save?
While there are likely to be some deals available to all shoppers, Amazon Prime members will have exclusive access to many discounts. If you haven’t signed up for Prime before, you can claim a 30 day free trial.
Young adults and students can claim six months of Prime membership for free, after which you’ll be charged $7.49 per month if you want to continue (or $69 per year if you want to pay annually) with some account sharing limitations. People receiving government assistance can use Amazon Access for discounts on specific products, including a Prime membership.
Are other retailers offering similar deals?
Other retailers are likely to drop prices through Prime Day to meet or at least come closer to Amazon. Walmart is hosting a competing sale from June 22nd, 2026 at 12:01AM ET until June 28th, 2026 at 11:59PM ET both online and in stores, with early access for Walmart Plus members. Similarly, Target has Circle Deal Days starting on June 23rd and running until June 26th for anyone with a free Target Circle account. We’ll keep an eye out for deals wherever we can find them, and let you know if someone else beats Amazon’s price, or launches a similar sale.
Do any retailers offer price matching for Prime Day?
Currently, no major retailers offer price matching for Prime Day deals on Amazon. Best Buy typically offers price matching for Amazon, but most Prime Day deals won’t qualify because they’re either advertised as limited quantity, or require a Prime membership. Neither Target nor Walmart offer price matching for competitors.
How can I know that Prime Day deals are actually good?
There’s a deep trove of products that we’re hoping to see discounts on during Prime Day, and we use tools like CamelCamelCamel to track prices. When the markdowns match or exceed ones we’ve seen before on tech we like, we’ll tell you about it. Of course, you can track price history on items this way, too.
Amazon makes that easy with its own “Alexa for Shopping” price tracker (accessible by clicking “Price history” next to the item’s price), which is great for quick checks, but in our experience it doesn’t show up on every product, and it seems to deliver just up to one year of price history. On the other hand, CamelCamelCamel lets you see pricing data going back for the entire duration of the product’s availability, which is nice for researching slightly older products.
Do prices stay the same through Prime Day?
Generally, yes, though not always. Once a product is discounted for Prime Day, it usually sticks to that price for the duration of the sale. However, there will likely be some instances — Lightning Deals, for example — when deeper discounts might be available for a limited time.
What are the best deals during Prime Day?
Well, that’s something we’ll be able to tell you a lot more about in the coming weeks. But we always look forward to deals on Apple products, like AirPods, as well as other earbuds and headphones. Video games, TVs, monitors, and computer peripherals also typically see big discounts. Pretty much anything you’d likely want to buy during the Black Friday pre-holiday period should get some kind of discount during Amazon’s June event.
