'A stylish machine that will suit any design studio or office': Geekom's A8 Max gets a $150 price drop at Amazon

A mini PC that can handle creative work without a desktop's footprint is still rare, but the Geekom A8 Max is one of the best we've ever tested (and our hardware editor's personal favorite when it comes to Windows mini PCs).

β€’ Best for: Professionals, power users, and creators who want desktop-class performance-and eGPU expansion.

β€’ The deal: The Geekom A8 Max mini PC is down to $949 (was $1099) at Amazon.

β€’ Why we like it: We scored this Windows mini PC 4.5 stars in our review, with a TechRadar Pro Highly Recommended award. it's sleek, stylish, compact, and immensely powerful across productivity tasks, light gaming, and video editing. We love how well the AMD AI-enhanced CPU handled AI workloads in the Adobe Creative Suite, and the USB4 port is a real bonus for attaching an external graphics card if you need more complex workloads.

Today's best mini PC deal

AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS | 32GB DDR5 | 1TB SSD

The Geekom A8 Max is a superb Windows 11 Pro mini PC for those that want more power than a sub-$600 machine offers. It performed exceptionally well in our tests, and there are plenty of upgrade options here (up to 128GB RAM and 4TB storage). Dual 2.5G LAN ports, USB4, 8K output support, and an aluminum, VESA-mountable chassis round out this machine.View Deal

Why we recommend it

In our 4.5 star review of the A8 Max, we found it "extremely powerful," noting it "ploughs through tasks in Microsoft Office and applications from the Adobe Suite without too much issue."

We even managed AAA gaming and 8K video editing with this machine - although we'd recommend hooking up an eGPU for more complicated timelines and playing modern titles.

The onboard NPU is a genuine differentiator for AI-accelerated tasks in creative software, on top of a Ryzen 9 chip that already outperforms most mini PCs in this price range for everyday multitasking and content work.

Connectivity is another strength. Dual 2.5G LAN ports, USB4, and 8K output support are specs you would normally expect from a larger, more expensive desktop, not a compact box small enough to VESA-mount behind a monitor.

For more picks, see our guide to the best mini PCs and the best mini PC deals.

Price Context & Historical Value

Pricing on this specific configuration has swung fairly widely across retailers and over time, from under $900 during some promotions to over $1,000 at others. So this is a solid, verified price rather than the lowest ever recorded, but it is a real saving off the current list price.

Should you buy it?

βœ… Buy the Geekom A8 Max if...

You want desktop-level performance for office work, photo editing, or video editing in a stylish, small machine that looks like it belongs on a design studio desk rather than under one. Or you need dual 2.5G Ethernet for a home office network setup.

❌ Skip the Geekom A8 Max if...

You need a simple mini PC for the office, suitable for basic productivity tasks, or you want more storage and RAM out of the box without having to open up the PC and upgrade it yourself.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

During our tests, we did note that the cooling fan gets loud under sustained load, internal expansion is limited, and integrated graphics will not handle serious gaming or GPU-heavy rendering; an external GPU over USB4 is the workaround for that, not a built-in solution.

Obsbot's Tiny 2 Lite 4K AI-tracking webcam solves the static camera problem β€” and it just got discounted in Amazon's Early Prime Day deal

Most webcams lock you into a rigid frame, forcing you to stay perfectly positioned when you're in meetings. The Obsbot Tiny 2 Lite works differently: with a 2-axis gimbal, it pans, tilts, and zooms on its own to keep you centered thanks to AI tracking rather than a static lens.

β€’ Best for: Active office professionals, remote workers, presenters, and streamers who want a high-resolution webcam and like to move around during calls.

β€’ The deal: The Obsbot Tiny 2 Lite 4K webcam is now $119 (was $179) at Amazon and Β£159 (was Β£179) in the UK.

β€’ Why we like it: This is one of the cheapest 4K PTZ AI-tracking webcams you can get. We've had excellent experiences when testing Obsbot's feature-rich webcams, so expect more of the same at a more affordable price here. One of the coolest tools here is gesture control, using hand waves to zoom and track what the camera sees without touching the mouse or keyboard.

Tiny 2 Lite 4K Webcam: was $179 now $119
4K resolution from a 1/2in sensor, motorized pan-tilt-zoom with AI auto-tracking that follows you as you move, 4x digital zoom, HDR, gesture controls for hands-free camera commands, and noise-reducing built-in microphones. Works with Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, and most streaming and conferencing software.

In the UK: now Β£159 (was Β£179)View Deal

Why we recommend it

The motorized pan-tilt-zoom sets this apart from most webcams at any price. Instead of locking you into one framing, it actively tracks movement, which is genuinely useful for anyone who presents standing up, teaches over video, or just tends to lean back and forth during long calls.

4K resolution at this price is also still relatively uncommon. Many webcams in the sub-$150 range top out at 1080p, so getting a sharper image along with HDR and a larger 1/2in sensor is a meaningful step up in image quality, not just a marketing spec.

Gesture control is a smaller feature but a practical one. Being able to start or stop tracking or trigger camera functions with a hand gesture means fewer interruptions to dig through a companion app mid-meeting.

Price Context & Historical Value

A $60 drop from $179 to $119 is a 33 percent discount. Third-party price tracking shows this model has fluctuated between roughly $119 and $159 over recent months, so $119 sits at the lower end of its typical range, a genuinely good time to buy rather than an inflated anchor discount.

Should you buy it?

Should you buy it?

βœ… Buy the OBSBOT Tiny 2 Lite if... you move around during calls or presentations and want the camera to track you automatically, you want sharper 4K image quality than a typical budget webcam, or you like the idea of gesture controls instead of digging through software menus mid-call.

❌ Skip the OBSBOT Tiny 2 Lite if... you just want a simple fixed webcam and do not need motorized tracking, you are set on a specific brand ecosystem like Logitech for existing conferencing hardware, or you would rather spend less on a basic 1080p webcam for occasional use.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

Based on our experience with other models in the range, Obsbot's gesture controls are genuinely useful - but there aren't many of them (we'd love to see more added in the future). Motorized PTZ mechanisms also add a moving part that a fixed webcam does not have, which is worth keeping in mind for long-term reliability.

Hoto's $30 electric screwdriver belongs in your tech toolkit β€” this cordless 25-piece kit is the tool we use for PC builds and desk setups

The Hoto electric screwdriver is a genuine desk essential that members of our review team regularly use to build office furniture, take apart mini PCs, and more. Now, Amazon just dropped the price as part of its Early Prime Deals sale.

β€’ Best for: IT professionals, PC builders, DIYers, and anyone who assembles office furniture.

β€’ The deal: The Hoto 25-piece electric screwdriver kit is now $30 (was $50) at Amazon.

β€’ Why it matters: Our office furniture reviewer Collin swears by this useful compact 3.6V cordless screwdriver. Inside the magnetic bit case are 25 S2-steel bits of various sizes for fixing up (or opening up) computer and office equipment. It also features three adjustable torque settings, a shadowless LED light for working in dark spots, and a 1500mAh battery with fast recharge over USB-C.

25-Piece Upgraded Electric Screwdriver Kit: was $49.99 now $29.98
Cordless 3.6V electric screwdriver with 25 bits covering Phillips, flathead, Torx, hex, and Pozidriv, a 1500mAh rechargeable battery rated for over 1,000 screws per charge, 3 torque settings, a built-in LED work light, and a magnetic lid case that keeps every bit organized and within reach.View Deal

Why we recommend it

This is one of those tools that earns its keep through repetition rather than any single standout spec.

The 25-bit set covers essentially everything you would run into around a desk or home office, from the small Phillips screws in a laptop chassis to the larger hardware in flat-pack furniture. Having that range in one magnetic case beats hunting for the right manual bit mid-project.

Our Tom's Hardware colleagues also use this exact kit for both PC building and general DIY work, with one writer noting they "use it all the time" and even put together an entire garden shed with it. That kind of everyday reliability is a better signal than a spec sheet for a tool like this.

Battery life is a genuine strength too. A 1500mAh cell rated for over 1,000 screws per charge means you are very unlikely to run out of power partway through assembling a desk or building a PC, which is exactly the kind of reliability that turns a gadget into a tool you actually reach for.

Price Context & Historical Value

A $20 drop from $49.99 to $29.98 is a 40 percent discount. This kit has been discounted to a similar price range more than once in recent coverage, so this is a genuinely good price but not a one-time event.

Should you buy it?

βœ… Buy the HOTO screwdriver kit if... you regularly assemble furniture, build or upgrade PCs, or handle small home repairs; you want a compact driver that beats digging through a drawer of manual screwdrivers; or you like the idea of one charge lasting through a full project.

❌ Skip the HOTO screwdriver kit if... you only need a screwdriver a couple of times a year and a manual set already covers it, you regularly work in tight, confined spaces where a bulkier electric driver is awkward to maneuver, or you need higher torque than a compact 3.6V driver is designed to deliver.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

Reviewers note the driver's body can be a bit bulky for very tight or confined spaces, so it is not the ideal choice for cramped enclosures where a slimmer manual bit driver has an edge. At 3.6V, it also is not built for high-torque tasks like automotive work, this is a precision and convenience tool for electronics, furniture, and light home repairs rather than a substitute for a full power drill.

'Extremely reliable' GMKtec M6 Ultra is our favorite mini PC with Ryzen 5 power β€” and it just dropped by $200

After testing out the GMKtec M6 Ultra, we came to a clear conclusion: This is the best mini PC for most people looking for a compact desktop for the office, home, or dorm room. And right now, you can get the 16GB/1TB configured M6 Ultra for $500 (was $700) at Amazon.

This is the AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS configuration with 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD. For comparison, the 16GB/512GB model is selling for $460 at Amazon, so you're doubling your storage with this mini PC deal.

One of our favorite mini PCs for everyday tasks, and even light gaming, the M6 Ultra comes equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS chip, upgradable 16GB DDR5 RAM, and 1TB SSD with a second M.2 slot free for expansion. It supports up to three 4K displays and three selectable power modes from 35W to 50W. ports include dual 2.5GbE LAN and USB4. View Deal

Why we recommend it

In our review, we called this an "affordable mini PC that promises performance for office users, creators, students, and even the mid-level gaming community." And it delivered on all those promises.

Scoring it 4 stars out of a possible 5, we found it "a perfect option" for anyone who wants an exceptionally well-priced mini PC with plenty of upgradeability that can handle nearly anything thrown at it.

We noted during testing that "Having the AMD Radeon integrated GPU really does give it the edge, especially with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, video applications, and gaming." But the USB4 port also means you can couple it with an external GPU if you need more graphics power.

The Ryzen 5 7640HS and Radeon 760M combination is genuinely capable for everyday work, office tasks, 4K video editing, and mid-level gaming; the dual M.2 slots plus dual-channel DDR5 mean you are not locked into whatever configuration you buy today. That upgrade path is unusual at this size and price.

Connectivity is another strength worth calling out. Dual 2.5GbE LAN, USB4 with 100W power delivery, and Wi-Fi 6E are specs you would expect from a much more expensive machine, not a sub-$500 mini PC.

For all those reasons, this compact desktop takes the top spot in our guide to the best mini PCs.

Price Context & Historical Value

One of the aspects we like about the GMKtec M6 Ultra is that it's already well-priced for a mini PC. It offers great value for money, and the discount only adds to the attraction - especially when you consider that both memory and storage can be upgraded.

Saying that, this is generally the deal price we see this configuration drop to, even around big shopping events like Black Friday. Expect it to remain so, particularly as RAM prices continue to push up hardware costs.

Should you buy it?

βœ… Buy the GMKtec NucBox M6 Ultra if...

You want a compact desktop for office work, content creation, or light gaming without paying full-size PC prices. You can squeeze higher performance if you upgrade the RAM and storage yourself, too, and the connectivity is great, including dual 2.5GbE LAN and USB4, in a small footprint.

❌ Skip the GMKtec NucBox M6 Ultra if...

You need a discrete GPU out of the box for serious gaming or GPU-heavy video editing. The M6 Ultra relies entirely on integrated graphics unless you connect an eGPU via the USB4 port.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

There is no discrete GPU, so this is not the right pick for serious gaming or GPU-accelerated video work, and TechRadar's review notes the design is clean but uninspired, with fan noise becoming noticeable under sustained load. The bigger honesty check here is the discount itself: at $10 off, this is closer to the machine's normal price than a genuine sale, so buy it because it is a strong mini PC at $459.99, not because you are getting a rare bargain.

We called the Geekom IT13 Max 'superb for office and light creative work' β€” and this 4-star AI mini PC just got a big discount

After testing Geekom's Intel-powered IT13 Max, we found it a good, robust machine that's ideal for office work and light creative tasks. And right now, the Geekom IT13 Max AI mini PC is discounted to $679 (was $799) at Amazon with code TRT13DFF.

This mini PC pairs a genuine Core i9 mobile chip with 24GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, in a chassis smaller than most external hard drives. In the UK, Geekom's mini PC is down to Β£637 (was Β£749) at Amazon.

Should you buy it?

βœ… Buy the GMKtec IT13 MAX if...

You want strong CPU performance for office work, coding, or light creative tasks in a tiny footprint. You need to drive multiple 4K monitors from one small box.

❌ Skip the GMKtec IT13 MAX if...

You want to game beyond light, reduced-settings titles β€” this runs integrated graphics only. It also uses DDR4 RAM, so skip it if you need DDR5 bandwidth for memory-intensive workloads. And if you're on a tighter budget, Geekom's lower-tier i5 configs cost meaningfully less.

Intel Core Ultra 9 185H | 24GB DDR4 | 1TB SSD

14-core, 20-thread Core i9-13900HK, 24GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD, dual USB4 (40Gbps), dual HDMI, quad 4K display support, Windows 11 Pro. For the full discount use code TRT13DFF

In the UK: now Β£637 (was Β£749)View Deal

Why we recommend it

The GMKtec IT13 Max earned 4-stars in our review, where it proved a capable mini PC. We said, "for office and light creative work the IT13 Max is an excellent option," as well as use as a workshop or production-line machine.

The i9-13900HK is a genuine high-end mobile chip β€” 14 cores, 20 threads, and clock speeds up to 5.4 GHz β€” and it's unusual to see it in a mini PC this size and at this price. It handles everyday office work, code builds, and multitasking comfortably, and Geekom's cooling keeps things quiet under sustained load.

24GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD are both generous starting points (but opt for the 16GB RAM model if you want to expand that memory up to 96GB). Connectivity is solid: dual USB4 ports at 40 Gbps, dual HDMI, Wi-Fi 7, and support for driving four displays simultaneously, making it a capable multi-monitor workstation for the price.

Price Context & Historical Value

Geekom lists this configuration with an MSRP north of $800, and it's typically discounted through coupon codes rather than site-wide sales β€” $679 with code TRT13DFF is a solid price for the 24GB/1TB tier, in line with what this model has landed at during previous promotions. This is the lowest price in the UK that the IT13 Max has been. Worth noting the code expires August 30, so this isn't a standing price.

For more savings, every week we track the best mini PC deals.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

There are two sticking points with the IT13 Max. First, the 24GB RAM model features fixed memory, so you can't upgrade it. If that's what you want, look for the version with 16GB RAM (available direct from Geekom US and Geekom UK).

This lets you expand both memory and storage β€” RAM to 64GB, plus room for a second M.2 drive and a 2.5-inch SATA bay.

Second, the IT13 uses Intel's Iris Xe integrated graphics, not a dedicated GPU, and it runs on DDR4 rather than DDR5 β€” a deliberate cost-saving choice that keeps the price down but caps performance in games and GPU-bound creative work.

It'll handle 4K video playback and light gaming at reduced settings, but it's not built for modern titles at high settings. If gaming or GPU-accelerated tasks are the priority.

Epson's ink tanks consistently top our tests β€” and this $200 EcoTank ET-2800 deal is perfect for students

Epson's EcoTank ink tank printer have consistently impressed us during tests, with the format using bottled ink that's much cheaper than traditional inkjet printer cartridges. For an office upgrade or a new back-to-school set-up, I recommend checking out the Epson EcoTank ET-2800 for $200 (was $240) at Amazon.

If you're sick of buying overpriced ink cartridges, this is the cure. It includes four bottles of ink in the box that Epson says can last up to two years, and it's one of the best-selling cartridge-free printers on Amazon for a reason.

Should you buy it?

βœ… Buy the Epson EcoTank ET-2800 if...

You print a steady mix of documents and photos and want to escape the cartridge cycle. You want the lowest-cost entry point into Epson's EcoTank lineup. You're fine with manual double-sided printing and scanning one page at a time.

❌ Skip the Epson EcoTank ET-2800 if...

You need automatic two-sided printing (look at the ET-2850 instead). You regularly scan or copy multi-page documents β€” there's no automatic document feeder here. You print only occasionally β€” infrequent use can dry out the print heads.

Cartridge-free printing, wireless setup, flatbed scanner and copier, up to 10 ppm, with up to 2 years of ink included in the box.View Deal

Why we recommend it

We've tested the best home printers and best ink tank printers, and Epson's EcoTank line has delivered consistent performance results, topping our lists. Quick, cheap and easy refills, with good text and photo printing results.

The EcoTank system is the whole pitch here: instead of replacing small cartridges every few weeks, you refill from ink bottles, and each set is rated for up to 4,500 black-and-white pages or 7,500 color pages. Epson estimates that's roughly two years of ink for an average household.

At $199.99, this is one of the most affordable ways into that ecosystem, and it comes with wireless printing, a flatbed scanner, and a copier built in, so it covers the basics most home users need without extra bulk.

Price Context & Historical Value

$199.99 matches this printer's going rate at other major retailers, including Best Buy, Staples, and direct from Epson, where it's currently listed at the same price after a $40 discount from $239.99.

The cheapest I've seen for the EcoTank ET-2800 is $175, which is typically around big shopping events like Black Friday and the Christmas sales.

At a cent under $200, that makes this less of a rare price drop and more of a reliably good, currently live price, and $40 off is still a meaningful percentage saving on a printer in this range. It's the lowest we've seen this bundle land since January.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

This is a basic model, and Epson kept costs down by omitting a couple of features that some buyers will miss. There's no automatic document feeder, so scanning or copying multi-page documents means feeding them one sheet at a time. It also doesn't support automatic double-sided printing β€” you'll need to flip pages manually for duplex. If either is a dealbreaker, Epson's ET-2850 adds both for more money. For most home printing β€” school paperwork, tax documents, the odd batch of photos β€” the ET-2800 covers it comfortably.

I found the Apple Watch feature every busy pro needs β€” and I use it every workout

Apple Watch Ultra 3 owners tend to know the headline features by now: satellite messaging, the brighter always-on display, hypertension alerts.

What most people haven't noticed is a much quieter feature that only shows up if you also own a pair of the well-received AirPods Pro 3 β€” the same earbuds you're probably already using on all those Zoom calls at work every day.

For anyone else trying to squeeze a workout into a packed workday (or if you're trying to travel light on a business trip), I can tell you it's become the one I actually rely on most.

No more packing the chest-strap

AirPods Pro 3 have their own in-ear heart rate sensors, enabled by default, which is easy to miss since Apple doesn't make a big deal about it.

On their own, they're a genuinely solid heart rate source, useful for anyone who wants to track a run or a lift without a watch at all. But when you wear both an Apple Watch and AirPods Pro 3 during the same workout, the two devices don't just duplicate the same job.

They combine into multiple simultaneous streams of heart rate data, and the system automatically leans on whichever source has the highest confidence at any given moment.

Apple AirPods Pro 3 held in a hand, with beige woollen background

That matters more than it sounds like. Wrist-based optical sensors, including the Ultra 3's, can struggle during movements that shift the watch on your wrist: heavy grip work, rowing, anything involving a lot of wrist flexion.

In-ear sensors don't have that problem, but they can be thrown off by their fit or by their own motion. Fusing both sources means the watch is quietly falling back on whichever sensor is actually reading you correctly, workout to workout and rep to rep, instead of you having to guess which device to trust.

Honestly, it's replaced the chest strap by now. I used to strap one on for anything where zone accuracy actually mattered, interval sessions, heavy lifting days, anything where the watch slides around enough on my wrist to throw the optical sensor off.

Is it clinically equivalent to a chest strap? Probably not. But after a few months of comparing the two side by side, it's close enough that I just don't bother anymore.

As a professional, that feels like a win to me. It's one less piece of gear I have to cart around with me on a business trip or to a conference with the rest of my work gear.

Heart rate graph cropped screenshot

Setting it up takes no extra effort. Heart rate monitoring is enabled by default on AirPods Pro 3, so if you already own both devices, this will likely happen in the background the next time you start a workout with both in use.

You can check or turn it off entirely from the Settings app on iPhone, under your AirPods' name, if you'd rather it not run.

It's a small thing, and Apple has barely marketed it. But it's the kind of feature that only reveals itself once you own the specific pair of devices it's built for.

In my experience, it's an ideal setup for busy professionals who still want accurate health data without adding extra setups and gear.

If you've already got an Ultra 3 and a pair of AirPods Pro 3, there's nothing to set up and nothing to buy. You're most likely already using it without realizing it.

This super-bright Xgimi Horizon smart projector packs built-in Harman Kardon audio β€” and it’s $370 off

If you want a projector for presentations, business, and streaming movies without paying 4K prices, this is the deal I recommend grabbing right now.

Super-bright compared to similarly priced models, the Xgimi Horizon is now $529 (was $899) at Wellbots β€” a $370 saving on a 1080p Android TV projector with built-in Harman Kardon sound.

Brightness is where this model earns its keep: 2200 ANSI lumens is well above what budget projectors in this range typically offer. That ANSI-lumen brightness (a more rigorous measurement than the inflated "LED lumens" figures some cheaper projectors use) is important. That gives it good use for business and presentations, since the picture holds up reasonably well even with some ambient light in the room, not just in a fully dark home theater setup.

Today's top Xgimi projector deal

1920 x 1080 native resolution DLP projector with HDR10 and HLG support, 2200 ANSI lumens brightness, auto focus, auto keystone correction, and intelligent obstacle avoidance. Built-in Android TV with Chromecast, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0. Two 8W Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Audio, Dolby Digital, and DTS-HD support. Projects a 40-200in image.View Deal

One thing worth clearing up first: despite some marketing copy floating around describing this as a 4K projector, the Horizon's native resolution is 1920 x 1080 β€” this is Xgimi's entry-level Horizon, not the 4K "Horizon Pro" that sits above it in the line-up. If you specifically need native 4K, this isn't that projector. But for presenting or streaming Full HD content, 1080p from a bright, well-built projector at this price is a genuinely great deal.

The built-in Harman Kardon speaker setup is a real convenience feature β€” two 8W drivers with Dolby Audio and DTS-HD support mean you don't need a soundbar or external speakers just to get a watchable experience out of the box.

The setup features are also worth calling out: auto focus, auto keystone correction, and intelligent screen alignment handle the fiddly parts of projector setup automatically, and obstacle avoidance helps the image adjust around furniture in the frame rather than requiring a perfectly clear wall.

One honest caveat beyond the resolution: Our own testing of the pricier Horizon Pro found that if you're mostly watching Full HD content rather than 4K, the standard non-Pro Horizon is actually the smarter buy β€” which lines up well with what this deal is offering. Just don't expect the sharper 4K detail of Xgimi's higher-end models at this price.

For a bright, well-connected 1080p smart projector with genuinely good built-in sound, the Xgimi Horizon at $529 is a smart buy. And for other top-performing picks, see our guide to the best portable projectors.

The GMKtec G10 mini PC is 'a terrific little system' β€” and now our top budget machine gets a big discount

If you're looking for a reliable and cheap mini PC, the GMKtec G10 is our top choice. For general day-to-day work, with the scope to upgrade, there's plenty to like about the machine we called "a terrific little system" for the price.

Right now, the GMKtek G10 mini PC is $288 (was $400) at Amazon β€” a $112 saving on a genuinely capable budget mini PC. Meanwhile, in the UK, the G10 is now Β£260 (was Β£319) at Amazon.

Today's top mini PC deal

AMD Ryzen 5 3500U (4-core/8-thread, up to 3.7GHz) with Radeon Vega 8 graphics, 16GB dual-channel DDR4 RAM, and a 512GB PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD. Dual M.2 2280 slots support up to 16TB of total storage, and RAM is upgradeable to 64GB. Includes 2.5GbE Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and triple 4K display output via HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort, and USB-C. Windows 11 Pro pre-installed.

In the UK: now Β£260 (was Β£319)View Deal

In our review, we found it well-balanced for light office tasks, web browsing, and streaming. If that's the goal for your setup, it's ideal. For more powerful machines designed for demanding graphical workloads, we've selected the top mini PC deals for video editing and gaming.

So, what's on offer here? The Ryzen 5 3500U isn't new silicon β€” it's a 2019-era Zen+ chip on a 12nm process that still holds up very well against the sluggish Intel N-series chips (N100, N150) that populate most budget mini PCs at this price. The four cores and eight threads, courtesy of AMD's multithreading implementation, give it a genuine edge in multitasking and anything that touches video decoding or light image processing.

Where the G10 stands out is memory and storage. 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 and a 512GB NVMe SSD is a generous starting configuration at this price, and GMKtec gives you real room to grow: two SO-DIMM slots support up to 64GB of RAM, and two M.2 2280 slots support up to 16TB of combined storage. Having two drive bays also makes cloning an existing installation onto a bigger drive simple if you outgrow the included SSD.

2.5GbE Ethernet is the other feature worth calling out, since most rivals in this price bracket still ship with a single Gigabit port. If you're setting this up as a home server, NAS front-end, or Proxmox node, that faster wired connection is a genuine practical upgrade over the competition, and the Ryzen 5 3500U's AMD-Vi support means virtualization software runs without issue.

The Radeon Vega 8 graphics are dated by 2026 standards and won't handle demanding modern games, but they're meaningfully more capable than Intel's UHD graphics for everyday tasks like 4K video playback, light photo editing, or older and indie titles at lower settings.

Good to know: this machine needs a bit of patience out of the box. We found the G10 performs noticeably better after a trip into the BIOS to switch from Balanced to Performance mode, and the fan does get audible under sustained load in that mode. It's not a plug-and-play polished experience β€” with around 30 minutes of setup, you'll get this chip at its best.

For a cheap mini PC with genuinely generous memory, storage headroom, and fast networking, the G10 is a solid budget pick that features in our guide to the best mini PCs.

Prime Day mini PC deal: My daughter wanted a mini PC for school, and this is the most powerful one I could find under $500

Finding a genuinely capable desktop computer for under $400 is harder than it sounds β€” most machines at this price make uncomfortable compromises somewhere. The Kamrui Hyper H2 Mini PC is currently $460 (was $600) at Amazon for Prime Day.

My daughter is heading into her second year at Penn State this fall, and she needed a proper desktop setup for her dorm room without taking up half her desk or blowing the back-to-school budget. A mini PC made a lot more sense than a bulky tower β€” something capable enough to handle coursework, video calls, and the inevitable browser tab overload of university life, but compact enough to tuck behind a monitor and forget about. After studying all the options, this is the one I landed on.

This is one of the few machines at this price that doesn’t feel like a compromise. A 10-core Intel processor, a fast PCIe 4.0 SSD, 16GB of RAM, and triple 4K display output β€” in a chassis that fits in the palm of your hand.

Today's top mini PC deal

A proper desktop PC that happens to be the size of a thick paperback book. It’s powered by the Intel Core i5-14450HX β€” a 10-core chip that outperforms older i7 chips used in many office machines β€” paired with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD that loads apps and files noticeably faster than the budget SSDs in most similarly priced machines. Connect up to three 4K monitors simultaneously via HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-C. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dual Ethernet ports, six USB 3.2 ports, and Windows 11 Home pre-installed. Upgradeable to 64GB RAM and 4TB storage across dual M.2 slots.View Deal

The Intel Core i5-14450HX is the genuine headline here. Most mini PCs at this price use low-power mobile chips designed for thin laptops β€” efficient, but not particularly fast. The i5-14450HX is different: it’s a 10-core (2 performance + 8 efficiency), 16-thread HX-series chip with a 4.8GHz boost clock, drawn from Intel’s laptop gaming platform. Armchair Arcade’s benchmarks put its Geekbench 6 single-core score at 2,510 and multi-core at 10,324 β€” the single-core figure is essentially identical to a desktop Core i7-12700, which retailed for several hundred dollars on its own when it launched.

The 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD is the other spec worth highlighting. Budget mini PCs typically ship with older PCIe 3.0 or even SATA SSDs. PCIe 4.0 doubles the theoretical bandwidth, and in practice means noticeably faster boot times, quicker app launches, and snappier file transfers β€” the kind of difference you feel every time you sit down at the machine. The dual M.2 slots mean you can add a second SSD later without replacing anything, and the RAM is user-upgradeable to 64GB across two SO-DIMM slots.

Triple 4K display support is a feature most people wouldn’t expect at this price. Via the HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-C outputs simultaneously, the Hyper H2 can drive three 4K@60Hz monitors β€” the kind of setup that day traders, developers, financial analysts, and video editors typically associate with much more expensive workstations. One reviewer specifically called out how well it handles multi-screen productivity workflows with sustained workloads, noting it’s where the i5-14450HX platform genuinely shines.

The dual Ethernet ports are an unusual feature at this price point and are worth calling out for the right buyer. Two RJ45 ports mean you can simultaneously connect to two separate networks β€” useful for IT professionals, home lab setups, network-attached storage configurations, or simply keeping work and personal network traffic separated. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 handle wireless connectivity.

The chassis itself is compact β€” small enough to mount behind a monitor via VESA, sit on a desk without taking up meaningful space, or pack in a bag for travel. Passive ventilation handles thermal conditions adequately for everyday workloads, though sustained all-core CPU loads will push the machine toward its thermal limits, a common characteristic of high-performance chips in compact chassis.

One honest caveat: integrated Intel UHD graphics are not a GPU replacement. For casual media playback, video calls, and 4K display output, they’re perfectly adequate, but demanding 3D workloads and modern titles at high settings are beyond what integrated graphics can deliver. This is a productivity and everyday-use machine first β€” and a very good one β€” not a gaming rig.

To me, the Kamrui Hyper H2 is the kind of deal that’s hard to walk past if you’re in the market for a compact, capable everyday desktop. Check out more options in our guide to the best mini PCs.
